any idea which games are going on sale?

    • +2

Dont think they have annouced then yet. I bought Subnautica Below Zero last time for like $10, but that was when it was cheaper in early access and a 20% discount, might be a good pickup if it goes on sale again.

  • +27

Thanks Dealbot.. though I'm not looking forward to the hundreds of spam posts from Lysander listing every game on discount.

    • -7

Genuinely surprised you guys haven't simply hidden his posts. I did it about a year ago and have had such a smooth ozbargain experience since.

    • +22

You can simply ignore them. No need to get all riled up about it.

    • +100

Very ungrateful. Lysander posts a lot of great free and cheap games. If you are so offended by their posts, simply hide them.

    • +79

Lysander’s posts are great. I discover games I otherwise would never have found, and the comments tell me whether the game is worth getting.

    • +62

      Poor Lysander.. not cool man

    • What’s a Lysander? Google just tells me he’s Greek.

      • -1

an ozbargain upvote miner… waiting for the day they become equivalent to cryptocurrency

        • +3

Why does it matter what they spam on OzBargain? There's limits and rules on how many posts they can make anyway.
And if they farming upvotes, why does that matter either?

I don't go on GameDeals because half the posts are ineligible in Australia.

  • +4

crossing my fingers hitman is included in that sale

    • +1

After the big bucks Epic would have paid to secure the exclusive PC sales on it… I really doubt it. Though I do wish the same! So fingers crossed 🤞

    • +3

      Not the latest one.

    • Deluxe edition was on sale the other day for $97 down from $129.95

  • +4

    Cant wait to get subnautica

  • Heck yeah, love when Epic does the unlimited vouchers.

  • -3

Having over 4000 games on Steam, it's too late to move now :(

    • +21

      Why not have both?

    • +2

      how many you’d played?

      • Its quite easy to get that many just from buying Humble Bundles over the years.

I have around 2100 games on PC, most of the ~1100 Steam games are from Humble Bundle or similar sites, I've probably purchased around 10% of those myself, around 200 from Epic freebies, around 200 from Amazon Prime freebies etc.

If you use GOG Galaxy, you can combine Steam, Epic, GOG, Uplay, EA etc all into one launcher.

I have all my accounts linked, this is how it looks for me

GOG Galaxy is cool in theory but the execution is lacking. I've got nowhere near 4000 games but around 2000 across various platforms and GOG Galaxy is super slow to load up with such a large library, the metadata screenshots it insists on preloading takes up gigs of space and the program constantly crashes. They rushed it to market and haven't really maintained it well enough. I wish I could get rid of my Steam games off it to make it so I could at least use it for GOG titles.

Worst part is I installed it onto my laptop which only has a couple of games and it still pulled down my whole library from some cloud server somewhere and crashes every time I boot up my laptop too.

I've been submitting the bug/crash reports on my laptop & desktop every time I start up my computer for over a year now so I don't think they are really interested in making it good, as long as it works for people with small libraries they are happy. The cross-platform chat and other features they were teasing at launch still haven't gone anywhere either.

        • +2

          Take a look at Playnite

        • +5

I wish I could get rid of my Steam games off it to make it so I could at least use it for GOG titles.

You can, just go Settings -> Integrations, and disconnect steam.

crashes every time I boot up my laptop too

Settings -> General -> Untick "Launch GOG Galaxy at system startup"

        • It’s weird they haven’t made a good client for Linux, nor installers. You’ve got to make their files executable in the command line to install. Steam on the other hand is normal install and games launch inside of it

          • @DemocracyManifest: I think GOG Galaxy was made by an intern as a 'summer of code' project and they haven't really done anything with it since. It was just a 'me too' app to shut up people who said they don't have a desktop launcher.

    • +1

Is it hard to launch one for some games and launch another for other games?

      • nah. but i get liking have everything in one place

        • +1

bet your tv has youtube, netflix, disney, amazon etc. apps

  • -4

So this is how they get you buy games while giving out free ones before, get into the ecosystem to win over Steam….

  • +1

    Any good games/deals?

    • -1

Hmm, and those pesky e-bay posts where something is only cheaper because of the coupon or discount code Ebay offers. Totally different. ;-)
By the way, if I have the coupon and that is in itself a deal what good does it do?
It is what you can do with it and the result that matters.

I am sure you have heard that phrase before but in a different context - mostly women will say this and confirm this. ;-)

    • +1

      "Neg away"

      Sure.

  • +3

Metro Exodus for $8.58 is a great price for anybody wanting to check out the new Enhanced Edition ray tracing update.

    • +2

You could have bought this at humble bundle and a lot more games for a few dollars more…. $12 US and redeems on Steam

      • +1

I went to pause Humble Buindle again, and they gave me $4 offf.

    • +2

Metro at full price is a bargain, but ppl should buy it from GOG

  • +8

Just bought Assassins Creed Odyssey Deluxe for $13 always fun to kill some time in historical settings.

    • What VPN you using? Mine doesn't have Russia.

      • Absolutely. Assassins Creed Origins Deluxe, set in ancient Egypt, for $11.23 is also a pretty decent deal

  • Website getting thrashed.

  • Hmm only $10 for me?

    Get even more savings
Sign in to your Epic Games account, click 'GET MY EPIC COUPON' to claim one $10 Epic Coupon. Save on all titles $14.99 or more

    • +4

That's the ~US$ amount. Scroll to the bottom of the page when you click 'Go to Deal'. It's $14 off $19.99 for us in NZ.

  • -1

This will not work if you have used this coupon before in a previous sale..it says that it is already expired.
So if you have not done this offer before it is well worth it.

  • +2

    Immortals Fenyx Rising
    https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/immortals-fenyx-risi…

    Watch Dogs Legion
    https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/watch-dogs-legion

Both historical low at $30 AU

If you know anyone with Fenyx Rising they are running some weird 'refer-a-friend' promotion where if your friend invites you to the program you both get some free DLCs

    https://referral.ubisoft.com/immortals-fenyx-rising/

  • Does not seem to work on hitman 2. I guess it sees it as a dlc

  • +14

For all of you that want to buy a game:

    please check the prices.
Some prices are quite a bit higher than in the last sale.

    For example:

Disco Elysium: this sale with voucher: $27.74 (see table above)
Disco Elysium: last sale with voucher: $19.19 (see here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/592457)

Of course, there are some really good deals to be found as well.

    Happy buying everyone! :-)

    • +2

I guess its the same for RDR2 where i remember it being $35 during the new year sale with the coupon. this time just $45..
Felt tempted to pick it up actually but i just dont know..

    • This time it is disco elysium: final cut.

  • +2

Wooo Tetris Effect is mine! Now own it on ps4, xbox one anddddd pc.

    • If only it was TE:Connected

  • +3

Hades good price, but rather get it on Switch!

  • +2

Tempted on disco elysiym… and maybe thps just for nostalgia

    • +1

      Both worth it IMO

  • Is crysis remastered for $7.50 worth it ?

    • +2

Don't think it will come down to $7.50, as sale price is $22.49, and coupon needs $22.99 or higher

      • +2

My bad, it was in the list so I switched off my brain.

  • +3

Subnautica: Below Zero just went retail/version 1.0, now's the time to pick it up.

  • +3

Crysis Remastered and WRC 8 are too cheap to apply the coupon to.

    • +2

Don't bother with WRC 8 at over $22 unless you cannot wait any longer. A new one should not be out before too long and then WRC 9 will become very cheap. WRC 9 already was about $7 for XB1 not too long ago.

  • +3

Hades is so awesome - highly recommend it

  • -1

My coupon is only $10 not $15

    • Description shows the original US$10 amount. After you claim it, it turns into a AU$15 coupon.

  • +1

I want jackbox but I dont like having them on 2 platforms xd

    • +2

If you're referring to Steam, you can add a shortcut to the Jackbox game in Steam after installing it in Epic. You can then directly launch it from Steam without even needing the Epic launcher open.

      • would i need to download the epic launcher tho?

        • Yes

  • +3

Few people have mentioned it, but anyone who hasn't played Hades at this point is missing out. Excellent game, one that I keep going back to when I know I am only going to have half an hour or so to play a game.

  • Can you stack purchases and use the coupon? Or is the coupon only per game?

I want to buy Hitman 1 but its sale price is $21.23. Was hoping to buy a $1.89 game to push it over the threshold but seems like I can't do it.

    • nope cant stack

    • it's already been answered, but to expand upon it epic doesn't have a cart so the game has to be eligible by itself

    • EGS is a terrible storefront in that it doesn't even have a shopping cart. You have to buy each item individually. IT really beggars belief.

  • Opinions on WD Legion? how does it compare to previous ones?

    • +1

Currently playing on PS5, pretty interesting game with by far the most engaging storyline. The ability to recruit pretty much anyone into your crew adds an incomparable feature to the others in the series.

    • +1

I enjoy it quite allot (120 hours in).

Only complaints are that theres not allot of diversity in the map. No rolling hills, or country areas like you get in GTA5 or watch dogs 2. I get a few crashes too.

  • +3

Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla + Immortals Fenyx Rising™ Bundle is cheaper direct from ubisoft even after the coupon

  • Watch Dogs Legion seems like a good deal after applying the coupon. I wonder if there are people playing online though :/ .

  • Curse of the dead gods is on sale

  • +2

OP lists Outer Worlds, but Outer WILDS is where it's at: $15.39 after discount

  • Disco Elysium - don't think, just buy it at this price. Amazing game and such a unique RPG. My favourite game of 2020.

  • Kingdom Hearts 3 comes with 3 months Disney+ (usually $12/month). For a $45 game that's a pretty tempting offer - still haven't seen Mandalorian 2nd season or Wanda vision.

  • Sweet, got Detroit Become Human for $26.99 after voucher in anticipation of new Gaming PC eventually coming :D

  • $45 for RDR2 is a good price right?

    • Lowest price was $41.71 about 4 months ago. Likely to fall further soon but in small steps.

  • All time low price for Pathfinder Kingmaker.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Imperial edition, including all three DLCs, is $13.47 after coupon.

  • Disco Elysium or Pathfinder: Kindmaker - Imperial Edition?
