just look at the price…… buy now before sold out, ask later

    • +2

      For this price. Yes.

      Don't compare with Oleds..

    • +1

Costco has a very generous return policy. Buy now ask questions later

    • I’ve seen it a number of times when shopping for a new TV lately and every time in every store the picture looks very washed out without any colour vibrancy or contrast.

  • +3

    oh my that's very cheap

  • +4

I have the 82" of this tv (for $1890)

Be realistic, this ain't an OLED, but it's also not $7500

For gaming on my PS4, it's great, upscaling on FTA is really good (if you watch free to air)

Despite it only being 60hz, Kayo sports is awesome, motion blur/response time is quite good too!

Again, this 55" is similar pricing to SONIQ/Falcon TV's

Absolute steal at these sorts of pricing 🤞

    • wow, how did you get the 82 so cheap?

      • +1

Check the TU8000 Deals on here.. absolute insane deals, 75" was $1349!

this or the Kogan 65 inch 9 series ? for same price range

    • +20

"Should I buy a Samsung or a Kogan?" seems a self-answering question to me (I realise there's a bigger screen involved).

      • Kogan only last 1 yr max

    • +7

Depends if you want it to last for 3 years or 10 years.

    • +5

I asked the same question 12 months ago - Bought Kogan.
      Regretted it ever since…

      • why?

        • +1

Terrible operating system, picture quality not as crisp and as someone above said lasts max 3 years mine died after 2 spend the extra money its worth it.

          • @Penguin30: yeah i don't tend to buy kogan brand for big price items
            they are like aldi tv

            what os kogan use?
can you put android apps on it?

did you get refund or warranty when it died?
how much you paid and what model?

        • +1

          Specifically this TV - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/kogan-series-9-xt9…

Remote has failed twice - Getting it replaced under warranty was a terrible experience

          Lag - Especially using Netflix

Colours - Flat, Washed out, Back Light issues, have tried everything to get a better picture, I just don't think my TV is capable of providing this.

Sound - Not so bad, but its a small room

Overall TV - Has locked up several times, requiring a power down for several minutes before you can restart the OS.

I have found that Kogan Support is very hard to deal with, takes a long time to get answers/responses.
Having said that, Kogan delivery was also terrible - Took 3 weeks to arrive, even though it was apparently shipped 3 days after the order was placed. I paid the extra Shipping Guarantee fee, which was a complete waste of money - No one could tell me where the TV was.

Anyway, this was my experience, I hope others have had better.

@pinkybrain - Hope this answers your question

  • Bought it last year, works well and decent picture quality, but lags few times. It's a steal for this price.

    • is it have tizen or android tv?

      how is the apps support?

      • Don't think any Samsung TVs have ever run Android TV.

App support is fine for Tizen, has most video/streaming apps. I stuck a Chromecast w/ Google TV on mine just in case, since I prefer that interface.

  • prob won't last long

    • +2

      not fly-proof?

      • don't worry, you can claim it under warranty or failing that, post on here about how Samsung sucks. Either way you have complete protection.

        • +1

i meant probably there are many ppl want to buy it at this price, so it'll probably be out of stock soon

  • Good lord , 1400ish down to sub 700!!

  • +6

yeah wouldn't want to pick this up at ipswich cosco might get it stolen on the way to the car lol but seriously its a good deal.

  • I am surprised that they still have stock. If you can find this 2020 model cheaper than the 2021 model then go for it. Not much difference:

  • Tried making a few calls if this can be shipped, apparently cant! I'm still looking for a 55inch tv, hopefully will come across some good end of financial year sales.

  • Seems like only available in Queensland. No stock in Vic apparently.

  • Was the 65" on sale?

    • Nope.

  • how much stock do they have at Ipswich?

    • Yes.

    • +1

      7 when i called up

    • +3

I just left Costco. They have the display and 4 in boxes on shelf.

    • +1

Only 2 boxed and 1 display at 5.30pm after my purchase.

  • +1

2 left at Costco Perth Airport about 30 mins ago

  • Great deal! Got one earlier this year for switch/ps4/retro console gaming and netflix/kayo/youtube in a darker room. It does the job, it's snappy and everything just works great.
Excellent value TV for this price, but as others have said don't try and compare this to an OLED or a Hisense Q8… apples and oranges!

      is this have android apps?

  • Excellent price for the not so fussy buyer.

  • +1

    Is this available in Sydney?

  • Will the other stores such as Jb and TGG price match?

  • Anything in Adelaide ? :)
