Indie Bundle for Palestinian Aid (1,272 Items from 865 Creators) - US$5 (~A$6.81) @ Itch.io

34532

I was waiting for this since I heard about it on Reddit. I have had many hours of enjoyment and inspiration from the Racial Justice bundle last year. Bundle of 1000ish things, games, soundtracks, assets, TTRPG, tools, etc. Haven't looked closely enough to unearth any real treats yet but for under seven bucks Australian for the couple of hours wading through weird TTRPG rulesets will be worth it for me personally…

Edit: The creator of the bundle has posted to Twitter there will be further additions "next week", so if you were on the fence about the value of the inclusions in the bundle it might be about to get bargain-ier!

Edit the second: More games and creators added. Deal remains great value for money!

Yall need to chill the (profanity) out, politics aside this is an amazing bargain had a look over some of the games which include:

Nuclear Throne - $16.95 on Steam - 96% Overwhelmingly positive
    Orwell - $14.50 on Steam - 91% Very positive
They Bleed Pixels - $14.50 on Steam - 85% Very positive
Moon Hunters - $21.50 on Steam - 80% Very positive
    Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 - $18.50 on Steam - 90% Very positive

That's only a handful of games I'm sure there's a lot more value in this bundle. I don't have an opinion on the Palestine situation because I have not researched or looked into what is a seemingly a very complex issue, however this is going to the UNWRA who is trying to provide food and healthcare for people. Regardless of whatever side or whatever opinion you have surely this can be seen as a good cause. This feels like one of those posts where people insert x belief but then continue to support and buy from companies that use child/slave labor etc

    Just appreciate the bargain folks

    • +1

Orwell is great. And highly relevant to this thread!

    • +5

Why? Maybe you can explain your opposition as to why this isn't a good deal.

      • +2

Probably because every last game is freeware/shovelware garbage and not worth the cost.

        • Finally someone playing the ball and not the Palestinian man

  • +12

What's with the negs? Are you suggesting the game developers are Hamas or the UN is some kind of Hamas tool? lol-

    • +12

Loll… No it's because they believe we shouldn't be helping people in need because they don't like where they are from… No issues if the people receiving help were another culture or race…

  • +6

1000 games for $5 is a good deal but let's be honest these games are pretty shit I bet no one's ever going to play any of it. People who 'buy' this are only doing it to "support Palestine".

I myself am not a believer of their cause so it's not a deal for me.

  • +3

    No. Shouldn't be here.

    • +27

That's what Palestinians said about the Israeli migrants lol

      • +14

Hahaha thanks for the chuckle within all this couch politicians… Love the name by the way 👌🏼

      • -2

Migrants to where? Palestine was never a state

        • +1

No it wasn't a state, it was/is a sovereign country.

          • -1

@persianoz: When was Palestine founded and by whom?

          • -1

@persianoz: Being down voted by people who pretend not to know the history of the region. Love it.

I know, facts are hard to fathom when it doesn't align with your brainwashing propaganda…

            • +1

@freshofftheplane: WTF you on about, you going harp on the point that Jews were there thousands of years ago, so it is ok for them take over a country and ethnically clean their population based on a thousand years history. With that logic none of the conventional borders existing would make sense.

The occupying state of Israel (as would many Jews agree) is illegal (by international laws agreed by the UN) many countries (ones without mass media) also not recognise Israel as an state (not even a country).

Ironically, same logic used cleansing Jews back in WWII is being used against Arab Palestinians.

  • +11

Hamas is a terrorist organisation recognised by the UN and Australia. Any members of Hamas are banned from entering Australia. Hamas uses their funds from Iran and the USA to pay for rockets that are placed in schools and hospitals so that when Israel bombs the rockets, it looks like they are attacking civilians. There is no democracy in Gaza because Hamas is a discatorship and the Palestinian people suffer. Hamas will also never negotiate with Israel, they want to destroy Israel and then take over the world. Israel wants peace and has a right to defend themselves. If anyone calls Israel an apartheid state, looks up the definition. Just one example is that Israel just held an election and Arabs form part of the current government.

    • +11

      Lol thanks fox news..

    • +18

Not only is Israel an apartheid state, but Israel literally gave military aid to apartheid South Africa during the Cold War.

      • we supported the yanks in violently overthrowing Chile's elected government and dozens of others. Whats your point?

    • +3

Only shallow minded people believes Hamas wants peace. I strongly believe Hamas has the rights to shoot as many rockets as they like, just like how Israel has the rights to retaliate.

      • +5

Is it ok to shoot rockets from all over Gaza where a third end up missing their target and land in Gaza killing civilians?

        • +5

May be thats why Israel is asking 1bn from states to replenish the iron dome. Lol

          • +4

@Numbfeeling: Everyone has a right to defend themselves

            • +4

@jez22333: Yea I agree. But you said one third of Hamad rocket fell on Gaza. Then why the need 1 bn. Just to counter two-thirds of the rocket.

And moreover that DEFEND card are getting used these days same as anti-semite card. Just don't take their home and let them live. One famous settler said recently "if I don't steal your land someone else will"

        • +2

If they want to it's their choice, but they shouldn't play the victim card when israel retaliates.

          • +2

@j0hnd0e: just dont steal the land and stop the illegal settlements

            • -1

@Numbfeeling: And don't shoot rockets and then whinge about it when they retaliate ;)

              • +1

@j0hnd0e: any idea which comes first? rocket or illegal settlements ?

                • -1

@Numbfeeling: Who cares? Who's losing and crying now?

                  • +1

@j0hnd0e: For some people loosing and crying matters more than doing the right things. I guess you got your priorities sorted

                    • @Numbfeeling: The right thing is not shooting rockets ;)

                      • +1

@j0hnd0e: Your brain seems to be stuck at not shooting rocket. Nothing prior to that. good thing is this sort of mind set is becoming a minority , very close to 10:1. Good for society. Might have a discussion if you can come out of your single line rocket logic. otherwise peace !!!

    • +4

"Take over the world" hilarious 🤣
I bet you know about the great Israel state

      • +8

"Take over the world" with their rockets and stones. Haha shows you what people believe. Prime qanon stuff here

        • +3

Aye! Don't shatter dreams man… As we always hear anything is possible! Lol

    • +22

Since the occupation of the West Bank in 1967, numerous United Nations resolutions, including 446, 452, 465, 471 and 476 affirm unambiguously that Israel's occupation is illegal, and, since Resolution 446 adopted on 22 March 1979, have confirmed that its settlements there have no legal validity

      • +9

That makes Israel a terrorist, no?
Or is that only reserved for non western states

        • +1

Same as Australia occupying indigenous land.

          • +2

@freshofftheplane: Yes, glad you agree. Modern day colonialism, a Settler colony.

            • +2

@scar4ace: I'm sure Israel will withdraw all of its civilians from its "occupied land" - right after the entirety of Europe, Australia and the United States will.

              • +2

@freshofftheplane: Or they will just carry on their genocide and then apologise to the remaining token Palestinians in a 100 years, and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land,.talk about reparations.
They may even find grave yard indigenous schools like they did in Vancouver recently

                • +1

@scar4ace: Sure mate. although it's proven that Jews occupied this land for thousands of years prior, many years before the area was coined "Palestine" (by the Greeks) and before Islam was created. Get your facts right.

                  • +2

@freshofftheplane: Oh the right of return. So when are you going back to your ancestral lands then

                    • +1

@scar4ace: LOL is that the best you can come back with after being presented with historical facts? Try again

                      • +2

@freshofftheplane: Nothing to do with Jews and Islam..Jews still lived in Palestine. Israel created 1947 educate yourself.
It's the Europeans (hint Hitler) that massacres Jews and forced them to flee.
First you equated them (correctly) to western colonisers taking over indigenous lands and now you say they have an ancestral right. Confused much

                        • +1

@scar4ace: Mate you're missing some education there.

                          Read up:

The name Israel first appears c. 1209 BCE, at the end of the Late Bronze Age
                          https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israelites

First emerging in the later part of the 2nd millennium BCE as an outgrowth of southern Canaanites, the Hebrew Bible claims that a United Israelite monarchy existed starting in the 10th century BCE. The first appearance of the name "Israel" in the non-Biblical historic record is the Egyptian Merneptah Stele, circa 1200 BCE
                          https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_and_Juda...

                          • +2

                            @freshofftheplane: The same article says:
As distinct from the cities named (Ashkelon, Gezer, Yenoam) which are written with a toponymic marker, Israel is written hieroglyphically with a demonymic determinative indicating that the reference is to a human group, variously located in central Palestine[77]…

I am referring to modern day state of Israel not the israelites

                            • +1

@scar4ace: I thought you were referring to the Palestinians having a right to their land, but now seeing Jews were living there for thousands of years beforehand you backtrack? Pathetic

                              • +2

@freshofftheplane: Not backtracking. Your article refers to a people not a state. Arabs didn't displace the people there and Jews Muslims did coexist in that region.
The original people were displaced by Romans.
The modern day state of Israel formation since the British invasion is what caused the mass migration of Jews with Zionist agenda , formation of state, subsequent wars and ongoing conflict

                                • +1

@scar4ace: So you rather it stayed stateless? An undeveloped territory? The Israeli state started forming long before WWII.

                                  Read up (again)

From 1881 to 1903, the Jews had established dozens of settlements and purchased about 350,000 dunams of land. At the same time, the revival of the Hebrew language began among Jews in Palestine, spurred on largely by Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, a Russian-born Jew who had settled in Jerusalem in 1881.
                                  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel

                                  • +2

@freshofftheplane: Ah now we getting somewhere. Who did they purchase from then, who were therefore the inhabitants off that area in the formation of modern day Israel?

How much land purchased, and how much do the Jews own now?

I advocate for peace. But the current state of the Palestinian people in the region I believe will never result in peace in that region. Attacks are inevitable and I believe even being incited to result in further domination and control..sad state

                                    • +1

@scar4ace: I'm glad you're now better educated so we can begin having valuable discussions that are based on facts rather than your fiction/propaganda.

Inhabitants were mixed. this happened during the time when the Ottomans ruled over this piece of land.
Sadly I don't have access to the data you ask about, but maybe you can figure it out yourself?

Finally we agree on something. I too think that unfortunately the place is doomed for perpetual conflict. With that being said, like every other sovereign state, Israel has every right to defend its people and its existence.

                                      • +2

@freshofftheplane: Actually if you answer my first 2 questions you realise what my point was all along.

I'll give you the answer which was actually discussed with another pro Israel chappie.

6% off lands were purchased by Jews from Muslim/Ottoman owners as of 1944, a far cry from the more than 55% occupied by Israel today.

Anyway this conflict won't be solved on ozbargain. Good night.

Yes states can defend themselves, and Palestinians are being forced out of their lands have to defend themselves too

                                        • +1

@scar4ace: Do you understand the difference between defense and offense?
Hamas is an offensive terrorist organisation that wants to wipe Israel off the map. Israel can wipe Gaza off in 5 minutes if it wanted to, instead it fires precise ammunition at buildings where rockets are fired from and spends a fortune on defensive systems such as Iron Dome. You're clearly far from being the "peace advocate" you claim to be.

                                          • +2

@freshofftheplane: Spends a fortune, funded by the US
                                            Wonder what the agenda is.

Look at incoming Israeli PM Benett views on a 2 state solution, it's not just on one side.

Israel actions are defensive not offensive? According to who? The IDF?

So Israel can defend their people.and existence but the Palestinians just need to take it up the rear end, leave their homes.and land..sure that's sounds very peaceful.

Israel can wipe Gaza off in 5 minutes if it wanted to, instead it targets buildings that rockets are fired from
Like the media building? Their infrastructure is completely destroyed already, At this point IDF can say and do what they want. What is one side to do when it lives year in year out under brutal conditions, blockaded unable to go in and out.

Palestinians fired rockets at what, the iron dome? Then what is Israel defending against? If they ready have the iron dome, and the US is just spending another billion to replenish it?

Why are rockets being fired in the first place . How much of occupied lands is in direct contravention of UN law?

                                            • @scar4ace: You think land > lives. Pretty much sums up the Arab mentality.

                                              • +2

@freshofftheplane: Sure it's only the Arabs that want land

                                                • +1

@scar4ace: Arabs have lots of land. The majority of the middle east is in Arab hands. But it's not enough.

                                                  • +2

@freshofftheplane: So do Americans and Europeans..The majority in fact all of Europe and North America belongs to them
Maybe they should give up some their land?

Instead of forcing the European Ashkenazi jews to middle east to live out their Zionist dreams and displace settled people?

Or maybe Israel should stick to their land rather than occupying territories not given to them

                                                    • +1

@scar4ace: Why is the Arab world not helping the Palestinians? Egypt shares a border with Gaza, surely they can give up some land to their fellow brothers?

                                                      • +2

@freshofftheplane: Why is USA not giving up land for their Zionist brothers. Much cheaper than sending almost $4 billion for "defense"

                                                        • @scar4ace: Haha here we go again… Good night Mr peace advocate

Good night,.Mr "it's only defense, they poked my eye (cause I barged into their living room) so I nuked their family"

This is how they describe themselves:

The Algemeiner, a global news destination published online and in print, serves as an independent media voice covering the Middle East, Israel and matters of Jewish interest around the world.

          Nuf said.

          • +4

@Nikko: He can't find an article from an unbiased outlet because Israel would've bombed it already.

Lol They can't give any guarantee the money will go to a terrorist group.

I have no problem condemning Israel, Hamas, Iran, Turkey, Palestinian extremist and Jews extremist, even some pro-Palestinian activities are terrorist group attacking innocent people around the world.

Whereas you diverted from Hamas to speak about Israel.

Hamas beat a Palestinian woman for not wearing the hijab. I posted it on my social media. While the pro-Palestinian keep turning a blind eye on Hamas. A terrorist group.

Is that like saying "I am not racist, I have black friends?"
Not all Palestinians belong to Hamas..no kidding, mate. Israel is still a terrorist occupier.

@scar4ace: Speaking of racism what do you think about calling black people raisin head? Do you condemn calling black people raisin head? https://sunnah.com/bukhari:693

                  @gto21: Uhm. Ok.

Yes I condemn racism and calling people that. I have no idea what you quoting. Anyone can google and cherry pick shit like I just replied to your other comment.

And you are still deflecting from the Israeli massacre of children.

                    @scar4ace: Who was racist?

                  • +1

@scar4ace: It's tragic but casualties happens in war, but maybe don't fire over 4000 rockets at Israel…

It's like if a terrorist is holding a hostage and starts killing people, I'd hope the police would try to take him out, even if it risks the hostage's life.

@ozhunter: Maybe they shouldn't steal their land and displace people?

Gaza has been described as an open air prison. The people there live in worse than sub human conditions. They can't even cross roads because it's reserved only for Israeli people…

As per my knowledge the barrage of rockets is due to the iron dome defense and an attempt to find weaknesses in it. It does sound like a good headline "thousands of rockets ". When the reality is a handful of wounded people on Israeli side versus hundreds of children alone on Gaza side.

Why are they firing them? Again I don't support Hamas but people need to know the reality of the situation these people are facing.

                      • @scar4ace: Wow the rockets are just to find weakness in the iron dome. Those peaceful Hamas extremists are just trying to overwhelm Israel's defense system to kill civiliants.

                        • +3

@gto21: Oh and those poor peaceful Israelis just want to defend themselves because they just stole some land. why don they understand the book said it's theirs?! .cmon show them your book.

                          • -1

@scar4ace: Thank you for exposing yourself. It's ok, it's just to test Israel's defense. It's ok to kill Palestinian, Arabs, and Jews in the process of testing. The so-called pro-Palestinian are a danger for the Palestian people - men, women, and children. They are not doing a service for the Palestinian. I hope the money goes to the Palestinian and not Hamas. Since your activism is not helping them. Your activism is the biggest danger for innocent Palestinian children dying.

Please donate as much as you can, your ideology is putting many innocent Palestinian Children in danger.

@gto21: Haha thank you for exposing yourself.
It's what your book says , so must be true.
It's ok if some kids need to die.

Read my comment again - "my understanding of why the barrage" and "I do not support Hamas" but nice try

                              • @scar4ace: How much will you donate after you supported Hamas rockets on the iron dome which also killed Palestinian Children? And you keep supporting it. Please give a huge sum of money. Your money can't save their life. But that the least you can do for now. What a shame.

@gto21: Whatever helps.you sleep at night. Give your book a cuddle.

                                  • @scar4ace: Many Palestinian parents can cuddle money given by the so-called pro-Palestinian. Some of them also support the rockets of Hamas. It's not pro-Palestinian. They are the real anti-Palestinian. Who needs enemies when the Palestinian have friends who support their death.

How much will you donate? Are you ashamed to say the number. I hope you enjoy the bargains while the Palestinian children died.

                                      @gto21: Keep rambling…
Looks like you lost the plot

                                      • @scar4ace: Recognizing fake "pro-Palestinian" supporting the killing of Palestinians by Hamas rockets is not losing the plot.

                    • +2

@ozhunter: Your analogy is not correct.
The crucial bit is that what would you do if people come into your home and kick you out? Let them be?

                      • +1

@scar4ace: Are you referring to recent attacks on Israel or 1948? Is the answer your looking for is to fire over 4000 rockets at them?

                        • +2

@ozhunter: Not justifying the use of force on any side, but think about what you would do if someone came into your home, claimed it as their, humiliated you Infront of your people, cut off your supplies, forbid you from leaving, governed your every day and very existence.

Israel since the land takeover continues to exert dominance and aggression every single day, they are in a state of war unfortunately. How should they respond?

                          • +1

@scar4ace: Again, are you referring to recent attacks on Israel or 1948?

I mean, if you country starts a war, don't have a whinge because you came out worse than the other guy.

Would you be ok if indigenous people here to this day kept attacking non-indigenous people? Even though none of them were actually alive when Australia became a nation.

                            • +1

@ozhunter: Well they might if the non indigenous were still taking more of their land and subjugating them to inhumane conditions.

                              • +1

@scar4ace: Not their land. I mean, no one can stop them from starting a war, but not going to feel sorry for them when they lose.

                                • +1

@ozhunter: Oh, wonder why you made that indigenous analogy then.
