I have absolutely zero idea what this deal is about. Perhaps might be better to explain it in the OP rather than have to click through to deal? Why is the domain used for Colombia?

On a serious note:
I can't envisage trying to convince friends to download an app for small digital gifts which after June 2021 will cost money - which is a service fee of 7% which has been conveniently left off in the OP.
Normal people will just use free methods to transfer via OSKO, split bills or better yet, shout a person next time they get together etc. Or just buy them a small gift to gift in person. Am I missing something?
I understand the 7% service fee is to help in running the app and issuing digital MasterCards, but most people will be put off - especially the demographic on OzBargain
Even as a Zoomer with 3 different payment apps on my phone, I can't see the demographic for this.
If I wanted to send a friend some money, I'd use PayID, BeemIt, Paypal or a regular bank transfer in that order. If I wanted to shout them in person, I'd go up and pay for it myself.
With this, you're just gifting someone the experience of inconvenience. Oh hey, sorry for your breakup, lets get a drink after you download this app, sign up for it, figure out how to add it to your phone wallet, and then make you feel bad for wasting it when your drink ended up being $12 not $15.
I could see this working as a QR code for a product, like walk up to a bar and scan a QR code for a free beer that you bought for them.
But this? Useless.
