ryzen is returning to good and normal pricing now, but still waiting for GPU price to move.

    • Would be nice to see them return to normal by the end of the year, having doubts though.

      • No way it's gonna happen by the end of the year

They are heading in the right direction but still hard to justify when 10900 can be bought for 300 less. Either that has to go back up or 5900x to come down a fair bit more.

On one hand kinda want to pull the trigger because it's the closest to RRP but on the other hand can't finish the build with a GPU so why bother buying parts to sit around for another 6 - 12 months

  • argh, buy this or wait for 3D-V-cache ones

    • depends on whether you need the extra performance now? also note that it will probably be a few months from release of the zen3 refresh before you can get your hands on it.

      • i have a 5600x, but i need it because its a bargain and will last longer than a 5600x. also have that itch.

        • Nah save your money unless you really need the extra cores.

        • What if I bought your 5600x off you and you got this :s

        • Wait till the end of the month at least, prices should be even lower then.

Got one with Shopback Swap Giftcards and end up with about $753. Not bad. Thanks OP.

  • Absolutely amazing deal. Really good to see prices coming down.

    • Damn, Intel must be really on the nose for ppl to ignore 10900 @ $439 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174696004986?hash=item28acb17d7a…

It makes no difference to me what ppl do with their money but this is so in your face. How can 5900x even at $783 be worth $344 (or 78%!!) more than 10900, or even 50% for that matter. Serious question.

      • That is actually crazy. Looks like the script has truly flipped. Ripper deal for a 10 core high clock speed cpu.

      • That's not overclockable
