    You can actually tell just from the pictures its a cheap shitty knock off. Look at the plastic around the scroll wheel and how off centre it is.
    Definitely not worth the hassle of trying to return it.

    Given that its counterfeit, I wouldnt be surprised if plugging the usb dongle passes on something malicious to your computer

      • Its definitely possible, but probably unlikely.

        You can have very lightweight keylogging software on USB dongles/keyboard software/custom software, but it will need to find a way to upload or transmit those logs, which will mean a detectable transmission at some point (or a new background process using network resources).

        Most likely its just a company abusing stolen/copied/borrowed tooling to make a quick buck.
