  • Reviews don't look good

  • 3 hours battery life in specs so it would be 1 hour in reality

    • How long do tablets usually last for battery life?

      • The brand names usually last from 5 to 9 hours. Obviously that depends on what model and what your doing with the tablet. My Xoom says it lasts 8 hours but in reality its about 4 hours with heavy use.

      • I got a $150 cheapy off dinodirect, which, you get what you pay for but the battery around 3 if watching video the whole time, just web browsing about 5 hours.

      • Optus MyTab (that $99 dollar one) lasts a really long time. Lasts about 1.5 days with moderate Wifi use with CM7 installed.

        • I can second this - just took my MyTab travelling o/s for two months, and it was absolutely sensational (given the limitations that come with being a $99 tablet).

  • boss has one, screen is crap and has troulble connecting to wifi

Trash tablet. Don't waste your time.

For around the same price get one of these:

Much better screen (IPS), better specs overall and ICS

Think there are some $10 off vouchers for the site floating around too…

    • This looks pretty darn good from the sample video. Specs are nice with 1.2ghz processor. Easily the best cheapy I've seen and having ICS is icing on the cake.

    • I went ahead and ordered one of these after seeing this comment.

Someone should post this up as a bargain.
Looks like a really solid tablet at the price.

  • There is no point people wasting their time with these tablets. Seriously they are just trash. The first time you get an issue you are jacked as there wouldn't be any support.

And what's up with Kogan's title "Agora 7" Tablet PC with Capacitive Touchscreen - Powered by Android".

All tablets are capacitive now and it will obviously have android. I think they are marketing to people who don't know any better.

    • I have a Telstra T-touch - not capacitive. It's not very fun, I think they're doing the right thing to make sure you know you don't get screwed with a budget pressure screen.

Kogan's support is awesome, btw. I don't think the tablet will be up to much, but they do deal with issues quickly and well.

  • id rather spend 200 and get a 9.7 and use apple cases/protectors etc…

i got my lepan from amazon for about this price.. great tab.
199 + 14 shipping to australia… transformer is 110-240, so you just need the special plug.

    • Android 2.2?

      • yep and still does everything i want… the 2 is 3.2 however it about 100 more but is dual core, has hdmi and usb otg

Hi, thanks for making effort to post….but Kogan tablets are crap. $149 for a 3 hour battery life tablet, you're better off with Ainol (Ainovo) Android 4.0 tablet. When it comes to tablets, Kogan IS still a no name brand. What a bad decision that they made getting into this market. Now the are just trying to offload their stock. I wouldn't even pay $79 for it.

    • When they had the production model, the 7" Agora tablet went for lower than $149 actually. Would've been OK to buy it during LivePrice, but not now.

    • Yeah, but then you have to tell people you use Ainol tablets (say it aloud). In all honesty, they are definitely the pick at the moment for a budget tablet.

  • Do not buy this junk!! Had them before and ended up selling off ebay the second day. it feels so fragile. it make sound when you touch along the edges. broken speaker sound when maximum volume. not happy with kogan! jack up prices after got their gift card http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55738

    Never again!

  • dont bother - its a piece of crap
i am on my third one, and am trying to return it for a refund due it developing a red line down the middle of the screen. kogan suddenly doesnt want to know me when i want my money back, but are happy to exchange for another pos.

    save your money.

  • too expensive for a bad quality tablet.

  • Garbage. I seriously don't get the appeal of Kogan.
