    Reviews say its difficult to clean and therefore maintain, leading to rust or potentially fungus/mold build up….. so take that into consideration!

  Seriously, unless you’re wanting to cook huge rice quantities of rice and/or keep it warm, you don’t need a rice cooker. Here’s the best way to cook white rice:

  Place 1 cup of rice and 1.5 cups of boiling water in a saucepan. Place the lid on it, making sure steam doesn’t escape. Cook for 10 mins on a low heat. Take off the heat for a further 10-15 mins (but don’t remove the lid). And taadaaa! Fluff your rice with a fork and serve. 😋

    Another quick way which works well for me is using a microwave. 1.5 cups water for 1 cup rice in a microwaveable bowl (uncovered) for 18-20 mins. Done.

    If you come from an asian family (personal experience) chances are you are cooking rice every day. Much easier to chuck it in the rice cooker where it keeps it warm till your ready.
