My 6th Ozbargain Deal Post,.. Hope this one survives lolz cheers Ed

Considering some of the high specs this mobile offers, I think not a bad price (unless there is something better out there better priced too?)

Someting to note: I've noticed on other posts on the global version/model 800U of this phone the stated ram size was 6GB, though this version is a Dual sim model with 8GB of Ram if it makes any difference why this would be 8GB of ram I'm honestly not sure and the info was sourced from GSMArena so not sure how accurate the specs of 6GB is (or a error on Catch website), link below of past global version on Ozbargain and has few positive comments about the phone too

Do your research and please post here, just the 5G bands for this phones global model
As important our main 5G band our 3x major telcos all use in Australia is n78 which this phone seems too support and a lot more for overseas travel and also all the 3G/4G bands for all our 3x major telcos are there

GSMArena
https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.gsmarena.com/realme_7_5g-ampp…

    • Nice I've been proven wrong, big thanks

Edit: Actually mobileciti model is not the dual sim version and delivery costs on top but I doubt most people care and most likely prefer the free wireless Buds Q 👍😁

Battery life on 4g is fantastic.
Drains quite fast on 5g, though…
    Good IPS display. 120Hz.
Earbuds are sounding fine. A bit on a bassy side. Highs are a bit recessed.

    there is no notification light.

I think Redmi nite 9t is a good option too cheaper than this as it's been able to get at around 260 AUD in past with same MediaTek 5g dimensity processor

    • I can't believe prices have come so low for 5G phones so quickly, not really worth buying a 5G dedicated modem better iff buying a 5G phone and turn it into a 5G wifi hotspot modem

Love too know of any 5G speed tests with these phones, anyone?

      • +1

        MediaTek is buggy

      • +1

I had gotten upto 363 Mbps on Optus network with one plus Nord n10 5g

        • With an Optus 5g tower?
          Wondering which state area?

          • @Italkdigital: It was St Clair, SA (near park and cricket ground) I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT Where the bloody hell the 5G tower was/is, but i did manage to find the best speed location there.

Vodafone in metro Adelaide is decent too like around 235 Mbps Max Download

Telstra is too expensive (aka cannot afford telstra plans)

purchased from Catch. Can confirm they include the earbud as well.

  • Can anyone suggest a good phone with Android 10/11 and 8gb ram? Looking for an upgrade and can also stretch to $500.
In another words, looking for something with better value than this.

  • HELP, just bought the realme 7 5G from jb hifi !! Mobile data does not work if i leave a wifi area. It works after a restart or if i go into settings and change the band to 4g/3G auto, or when i change it back to 5G/4g auto.

Tried turning mobile data off and on and it doesnt work. Tried turning wifi off and it doesnt work.

First time android user, i have a dual sim setup. Mobile data is turned on, and have set preference as sim 1. All the latest updates as far as i am aware.

    Stumped. Faulty?

    • Did you manage to find out what the issue was?
