Would buying this via the Coles mobile site (as per the link in OP's post) qualify as a spend towards any Flybuy offers?
Reason for asking is that it is not available to buy via the Coles 'shopping app or site.

    Cheers.

    • Does it ask you to enter your flybuys number on purchase?

      • No, it wants me to create an account, which I don't want to do if I can help it.

So, I had an online chat with 'Coles Mobile' who confirmed that there is no way of linking your Flybuys number with their website.
However, they did mention that the SIM would be $119 in store, which I can confirm as I've just purchased one a few minutes ago.
Will report back I a day or two if the Flybuy rewards points will be awarded.

      • Interesting. Yes, please report back

Just checked and my FlyBuys points were paid for my bonus of 2800 points.

        • Bought 2x Coles SIM in store using self check out. Does not allow split payment with Coles egfit card.
Scanned by FF card to meet bonus points spend. Points showed up 2 days later.

      • Did you have to buy the sim at the service desk or was it in the gift card section?

        • +3

Found it at the end of the aisle with all the other SIM cards and gift cards.

  • need one urgently and plan to go to the store to buy one. does the Coles store sell this or is it online only? I am asking because this is not available on coles.com.au, but on colesmobile.com.au

You can buy in the store.

      • There is no Coles nearby oh well.
Looks like I will have to get it online without bonus points.

  • My current CatchConnect plan was going to expire midnight yesterday, bought a sim card for 119 from Coles store, attempted to activate the card failed due to Optus outage ( I was told) , called support number - number was disconnected, chat with online support - a Chat Bot replied, system is down, NO ETA given.

went back to Coles store when I bought the SIM card, was told they don't refund prepaid SIM cards…….after showing them what had occurred and waited for 25 minutes for a manager … refunded on the spot.

Lesson learnt: When nothing goes wrong, all prepaid cards are same, when something goes wrong, you are on your own if you are connected to Coles Mobile.

The same could probably be said of any other provider that just resells a service without an employed support base. Coles Mobile is probably just a branding license where they are trading as someone else, much like Coles Insurance.

No.The lesson is………………Dont wait till the last moment to activate your sim card. You are an ""IT Guy" right? You must be knowing that every IT system can collapse at any time. Witness all the bank outages for example.

Deal ended earlier. Was $119 this morning. Now $150. Thought it would end midnight.
