Yeah I saw those too, but they're imports. See comments here.

      • +5

Good re: black. The silver is marked [AU Stock].

      • +1

Actually curious, what is the difference between import vs AU stock? Is it warranty and stuff? Also how can you tell if it's an import? I have one of these on its way from another eBay seller but I'm afraid I didn't really pay attention. Cheers!

        • +1

Warranty would be one thing I guess, but other than that I'm not sure. In the seller's T&Cs they say "All products we sell are international and genuine model and comes with original retail box an Australian adapter." So it seems they may include an Aus adapter but it won't be in the retail box? But an adapter is irrelevant for these as they're just charged with the included micro usb cable.

      • Is the ozb post all local AUS stock?

        • Late reply sorry, but yeah the ones in this deal should be Aus stock, as they say "Au Stock" in the titles.

I’ve been using these pretty much daily for the last 3 years. Is there a better pair of noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones on the market that’s worth upgrading to?

    • +5

      Nope.

    • +1

Contentious on XM4s, as they seem largely preferred, but certainly not worth 'upgrading' to where you have these already!

      • I find the XM4s uncomfortable to the point of pain after a few hours. Large head, normal sized ears :)

    • Nope.

Whilst there are better headphones, these certainly aren't obsolete yet. I'd buy them if they had USB-C

  • Are these still worth it? I need new headphones and I really want to go with Bose (great experience with other products), but I'm hesitant to buy almost 5 year old tech…

    • If you want something a bit more modern around this price, I'd recommend to take a look at Surface Headphones 2 here

      • +2

Have tried the surface Headphones 2, the bose are alot more comfortable IMO

        • I actually find them comfy relatively and have no problem wearing them all day. This guy seems to agree too. They are also quite modern: USB-C, multipoint, BT 5.0, aptx all of which I value. ANC and SQ are unlikely to match Sony/Bose but for my purpose (meeting, movie, youtube) satisfactory enough. I also appreciate the minimalist design as well.

    • For this price go for it, I've had mine for 5 years and the battery life is still going strong like when I first bought it and I use it everyday.

    • +2

These are the 2018 version, almost certainly.

Besides, audio tech doesn't move fast. Sennheisers designs are all from the 90's still.

In any case, yes - these are maginally better than the Sony's in everything except ANC. Some people recommend the Sennheiser Wireless Momentum 3's, but I found for the extra price and bulk, they really didn't achieve anything more than the QC35II's.

    • Just get the Bose 700. Much better noise cancellation on voice call, for 80 bucks more.

Even if you don't need that, you get a more modern design and potential future resale value.

      • Is the fit and feel of the 700 the same or better than 35 II's but with better noise cancellation? How about audio and mic quality?

        • I'm wondering the same. So far as I can tell from reading, the 700s don't fold and are less comfortable and the audio quality is not quite as good as the 35s.

    • +1

I have been using these for years and will recommend them without hesitation and will buy again when the current one breaks.

  • +2

Sorry micro usb, you are too old for me.

  • Is this the one all the reviewers compare to the Sony "we-can't-name-things"-XM4s?

  • I found the QC35 I/II more comfortable than the 700s

If not for the better microphone array of the 700 I would have stuck with the QC35s

    • isit mainly because the 700 earcups do touch the ears but not the QC35s ?

      • I think it's a combination of clamping force (stronger on 700) and shape of ear cups

The 700s are otherwise superior with touch controls and nc mic array

I can have a conversation with someone on a noisy bus or doing dishes and they dont complain at all on the other side

  • I presume as this uses a 20% off voucher you can't stack with the $50 voucher provided when signing up first time to eBay plus??

    • Correct. Only gift cards stack with vouchers/coupon codes.

  • Are these better than sony xm4/ bose 700?

  • Thanks OP, ordered one
