Any chance for a B550 motherboard upgrade option for the 6700XT system? CPU cooler upgrades as well?

    • Hi Winston,

Name the Motherboard Model and CPU cooler you looking for, and make sure it's in stock at BPCTech.

I will ask the sales Team and see what we can do.

      Regards
      BPC Customer Service

        • Hi Winston,

We can do the Cooler and Motherboard swap with 100AUD Extra.

  • No too shabby of a deal.

    GeForce GTX1660 6GB Video Card

      The Model will be

  • hey guys..cn anyone tell me whether this deal is better than Dell XPS 8940 Desktop 10th Gen Core i7-11700K 16GB RAM 1TB SSD 2TB HDD ( Keyboard and Mouse).for $920 cash?
just wanted to know before i commit to the purchase

    • +1

      What video card?

    • +5

What's the video card in that system?

I have a feeling you got that deal off gumtree or facebook and the owner took out the graphics card

      • Almost definitely lol. Everyone trying to cop a dell proprietary gpu lol

    • yes..that's correct. the guy selling me the system took the video card off..told me i can still use the onboard video card…and reduced the price down to 920 cash.
i don't really need a good video card as all i do is surf the net, write report for work, usual word processing and that's pretty much. from time to time if i get bored watch youtube videos…but that's all. the seller said i am getting a really good bargain…listed the price of individual parts…so..i am kinda getting a bargain similar to what we get at ozbargain

      • +1

As 2nd hand, for 920 you'd want a monitor too.

You could pretty much buy that all new at that price. Or buy a cheap end of run Dell system direct and get 2 years warranty.

        • apparently the system is brand new. he just took off the video card. never turned on the PC. Said he will give me a scanned version of the receipt for warranty purposes. not sure whether the warranty is valid or void…but i find your post very useful..coz now i know i can pretty much buy any similar system with that amount of money..which i did not know previously. i was attracted to the list he gave me..the cost of individual items and how i was getting a bargain….now i know better

          • @lindol: Actually $920 for that build if brand new is a really good deal. However, if all you do is surf the internet… you really don't need that and can buy something in the $500 range.

As for graphics card; only if you play games, edit photos and videos. Otherwise the onboard integrated graphics card is fine.

            • +1

@ShinK0: thank you thank you and thank you for your comment. it was very helpful and constructive.
i think i was surprised by how much i was saving (the seller sent me a list of the price of every single component) and i was attracted by the saving without realising i actually don't need all that power for the simple tasks i do everyday.
your comment and help was very much appreciated

              • @lindol: The seller is probs on Ozbargain as well, and bought one of these deals https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/624760.

Sold the 3070 for 1500+, and is making the difference on you. You can still buy that Dell model on their website for $2300 + cashback with the code LOVEKEANU, and could sell the GPU for the same $1500+ and end up ahead by at least $100.

I agree with the above though that you don't need this powerful of a PC for that workload.

    • This is not a 10th gen processor and buying a dell leaves little to no upgrade paths in the future.

      • it should be the 11th gen processor. Why saying buying dell leaves little to no upgrade paths? i'm actually looking to buy the dell 8940 off ebay sellers that took the GPU out for around 1k too.

        • The case psu and motherboard are all kinda fixed cant be changed in any way. Also ram upgrades can be temperamental and only specific brands/models work.

          • @XiTaU: do you know what brand/models that will work with this particular model so that i can keep an eye out on ozbargain? the ebay seller offer to upgrade 16gb to 32gb for $130, i guess i can get it cheaper than that and upgrade myself later.
            thanks in advance

            • @bargainhereicome: Sorry not actually sure i just know from what people have mentioned on previous dell deal threads sorry.

Just a small recommendation for anyone getting this build.

The airflow design of the front section of the case is utter garbage. The front section blocks 99% of the airflow to the front fans. I basically took it off and slapped a 120mm x 240mm mesh filter on the front and the fans are actually able to breathe now.

Everything else about the case, however, is solid.

    • hope OP can offer alternatives.

      good cases aren't expensive.

        Hi, hex,

Is MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 100R Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Case good for you?

        • Will this be a direct replacement or an additional charge?

      • nice

how much did you pay for your 3070? What games do you play on it?

  • -6

1660? The Super gives far better performance for the negligible price difference (I should know, I traded the former in for the latter)

    • +2

      Supply is currently a problem.

    • Yes its easy to say this but the supply is the issue.

  • +1

By any chance, will u guys do any 3070 or 3070TI deal ?

    • And/or any deals on other, slightly better GPUs we can alter the bundle with?

      • Hi Matris,

talk to us on FB or through PM, name the model you looking for and we will see what we can do.

    • Hi Beb,

https://www.bpctech.com.au/kp-ps-sybergaming02-krakenpower-r… This is our 3070ti deal.

When the new stock arrived next week, we will see if we can do another 3070/3070ti deal at the end of EOFY.

      Regards
      BPC Team

  • +1

OP please give us a good deal on a 3070/Ti PC!

  • Which 1660 model is it? Can we pick up unassembled from your shop?

    • Hi fillit,

      The Model will be

ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 TUF Gaming OC 6GB Video Card
      &
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6GB Video Card

At the moment we sell our system build assembled.

GPU market is still getting worse, my used 1660 Super is worth $650, this is a good price considering its new, if you are using a 1080p/75Hz monitor it's appropriate for that at Ultra/High settings, with a lower setting each year etc.

The CPU is good as well, I'm using a 1600AF with my slightly better card and haven't experienced a bottleneck at 1080p.

The only consideration is that you will need to add another SSD/HDD eventually, but you can make this work for a while if you have a good USB flash drive, 256GB can be as low as $40 on sale.

The $250 you spend over a console will be saved a lot quicker than you think, if you start shopping around for Steam Keys at digital retailers, I bought Hitman 2 & Mad Max as preorders for $30, Warner Bros regional prices can be really good.

Also, with GOG you can clear your cookies, use a free VPN to Russia & save a lot while buying for the same GOG account, I only paid $39 for Cyberpunk 2077 on preorder. I've been buying in Rubles for years on AU account without issue. Just don't ever do that with Steam.

  • fair and good value deal given circumstances for a no-frills, pre assembled with all brand new parts.

  • +1

You said in a previous comment that you could replace the case with the MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 100R Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Ca, is that still a possibility and would it come at extra cost?

  • I see that you guys are friendly and we are able to ask to swap some parts in the pre built for an additional cost. I was looking to swap both the motherboard and the case. As the motherboard that I will select will differ, depending on if the case is mATX or ATX, I just wanted to know what cases I would be able to swap out the one listed for. I am willing to pay reasonable additional prices for a different case.

  • Any idea if you guys would be providing a prebuild containing 5950x +X570F Bundle

  • +1
  • Can you do a deal without a GPU?

  • Would be great if OP responded. :D

    • Hi Savesomemoney,

      Whats your questions again?

      • Hi budgetpc. I was just waiting for your response from the other people who asked as I don't want to double up the questions. Regardless I've already placed an online order after reading the comments and upvotes from the bargain veterans here. Thanks for the reply.

        • No worries :)

  • can you provide a deal with a different case? (something that provides airflow to the front fans as a previous comment suggested)
please pm me if this is available

  • Any gtx 1660 super or tis?

    • Hi, kaizen,

We could upgrade to gtx1660 super with $100 extra.

      Regards

  • What model is the power supply for the Kraken 6700XT deal?

    $1579 6700XT system build: https://www.bpctech.com.au/kp-fenrirgaming-kraken-power-fenr…

On the website it only says '600W 80Plus Gold PSU'.

    • Hi,

We are using the EVGA 600 GD 600W 80+ Gold Non-Modular Power Supply for the 6700XT Gaming build

      Regards
      BPC Team

  • Hey OP is this deal likely to remain up till after EOFY?

    • The price has gone up to $1299 on the website.

      • Devastated… I was hoping to get it but only came across this last night :(

        • +1

Yeah I'd been eyeing this from the start but just wasn't sure if I wanted to pull the trigger. I think I'm just going to wait a little while longer and hope for the latest GPU prices to drop. If you're still keen, maybe send the OP a message? Or I've heard you can contact them on Facebook as well.

          • @alwaysupforabargain: Yeh I have had a few expenses so thought I'd wait. Stop not sure I'd get it. Hope GPU prices settle down a bit

  • Hi rep, just wondering if i can do warranty on indiviual parts myself with the manufacturer directly or i have to return the whole system to you if something goes wrong? ( i might sell and swap the gpu in the near future)

    • Hi Mag,

Sure, you can send individual parts to the manufacturer, but please note that different manufacturers carry different warranty policies. We suggest you confirm the policy details first.

      Regards
      BPC Team

  • With your pre-built systems, will you do them without the GPU? Nice price btw :)
