[NSW] Free Tree Giveaway (Greater Sydney Region) @ Bunnings Warehouse via NSW Planning Portal

390

From June to October, we are partnering with Bunnings Warehouse to make free trees available to Greater Sydney households. Each month a limited number of trees will be available via the NSW Planning Portal.

In June we are giving away privacy and shade trees. 2,000 households can select 3 x 200mm pots of either:

  • Bottlebrush (Callistemon Endeavour) 200mm
  • Bottlebrush (Callistemon Hanna Ray) 200mmot be li
  • Lilly Pilly (Syzgium Australe) 200mm
  • Lilly Pilly Winter Lights (Syzgium Winter Lights) 200mm

Under the Greening our City Premier’s Priority we launched the free tree giveaway program in August 2020. We have had a fantastic response from households so far, with more than 29,000 trees already planted in Greater Sydney backyards. These trees have been supplied by Bunnings Warehouse and IndigiGrow Nursery.

The giveaway is a fantastic opportunity to add some greenery to your home and help make your suburb an even more beautiful place to live. Planting more trees will provide more shade, more privacy and cleaner air. We are encouraging everyone to plant one.

Note: If you claim a tree from the previous giveaway you cannot apply for a free tree again.

Please amend with "Greater Sydney only" (so as not to be mistaken for "nationwide").

A pity the blocks are so tiny in Sydney, there are no yards left to plant any trees. - if you can afford a house at all.

      • +1

Whatever yard is left you can guarantee a granny flat will appear on because they have insane return rates, leaving no room for trees

  • What does a tree do?

Not sure but do they have B28 and NFC?
