    Not a bargain AT ALL.
    PCCG have 2500k for $225 http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c…
    MSY have 2500k for $223 http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=7581

And also why would you buy from overseas when you can buy them at local for cheaper price.

      Er… USD$230 is not more than AUD$225

spot rate is currently 1.08:1 so AUD$213.00 from Amazon.

      v.s $225 + delivery from PCCG ($15?)

      • PCCG isn't the only place selling it for cheaper, just one of the most popular. Search StaticIce and you'll find a bunch of places.

The $10 extra for local warranty and faster delivery seems like the bargain here. ;)

      • v.s $225 + delivery from PCCG ($15?)

For those who can pick up doesn't have to pay for shipping and that will cost only $225

      • also dont forget about the exchange rate fee, typically even if they dont charge you a fee they wont giue you 1.08 per dollar.

      • If you can tax deduct the locally purchased item, then you may be able to offset the GST, which you cant with the Amazon purchase.

    • Unless it gives you more than 25% advantage on price, you dont buy from overseas coz you bascially have no warranty.

  • MSY is selling @ $233 aud. Why bother?

    • Been a member for over 1 year and still post this..

    • I meant $223 AUD. >_<

  • Sigh, obviously a very careless post by bluntman :(

delivered for $219 AUD is good for us rural folk ($237 from PCCG)

Not if you at any point need to claim warranty.

      • +1

warranty will be fine if bought from amazon

    • well its a toss up because you lose warranty and shipping time is going to be faster if you get it from someone like pccg.

  • It's $220US on the site? I'd rather get it locally anyway if possible.

  • XE shows 230.00 USD = 213.171 AUD.

    • yeah but you still have to pay currency conversion and your bank typcially doesnt give that rate…

  • For a second I thought they must have gone up to $300 here for some reason but no. Not a bargain at all.

    • For a sec I thought its 2600k…………..

Come on mate, do your research before posting

  • I bought it for $215 from MSY a year ago…

    • Haggle with your local computer store and save on shipping.

  • lol concern about warranty. Just go direct with intel, they have a base in sydney and all you need for warranty is the heatsink+fan.

  • not a good price

  • What everyone said.

While I don't think this is a bargain it's good to know just how far Amazon has extended it's international shipping.

  • umart selling it for $224

  • Not a bargain!!

  • The prices of 2500k have gone up because there is no AMD competitor for it.

  • please buy local

  • Local is cheaper…

  • lol
