Decided to pickup alien. Unsure if i will like it as I'm not really a fan of horror or gore but the price is too good!

  I am the same but alien is really good. The sequel is more action heavy while this is more of a building terror but isnt to gore or scary. Apart from one scene. Lol

I was gonna say that most the movies in OP’s list are “fake” 4K movies, which are upscales from 2K.

Real 4K movies seem to be on sale from $13 to $16 - still a bargain!

    It is a shame that many 3D animated movies are fake 4K - they are 3D and could be rendered at 4K flawlessly, but they don’t do it for some reason.

      Not really fake 4K just not native 4K. If a movie has a 2K DI then it is still 7% more native pixels than 1080p. There is also less compression, more dynamic range (between dark and bright) and a wider colour gamut. The upscaling that they do is more complex than what your TV and player can do in real time from 1080p. With Disney discs a lot of the time only the 4K version has Atmos audio as well.
