Woolworths/Coles/Bi-Lo/Liquorland Compare-a-Tron Weekly Specials 08 Feb - 14 Feb

820

299 specials from the group this week, with Woolworths Golden Crumpet Rounds 6 packs the biggest bargain of the week at 2 for $2 (Save $3.18, 61% off). Woolworths also have Pascall Marshmallow 250g for$1.49 (Save $1.66, 53% off), with Coles best food special being Wattle Valley Wraps 6 x 260g, 2 for $4 (Save $3.98, 50% off). Most of the Coles specials this week are from Nature's Own. Great if you're a health nut, but not so good if you're looking to stock the cupboard. My pick are the Golden Crumpets, same as in my Woolworths post! And as suggested last week, I've made sure you get to see all the 50%+ off specials. Have a great week everyone!

  • thank you sir =)

Yeh, but groceries aren't like, say, electrical retailers.. They don't need to beat each other. Where as if you're buying an iPod, you'd check multiple sales.

Would you switch where you shopped based on a couple of items being cheaper?

      • +4

I would weigh up the biggest percentage / dollar savings and go there for the week.
I pretty much do that now; even more so with these lists.
The duopoly do not care about me and I don't care about supermarket loyalty or stupid fuel dockets.

"Would you switch where you shopped based on a couple of items being cheaper?"

I know plenty of people who don't switch - they just buy the cheap products from each place, and the savings can add up, especially with all of the 'half price' items.

They have specials to entice you into the store and then they make the money with all the other full priced items, but you don't have to play the game THEIR way ;-)

My local makes it especially easy to 'cherry-pick' the specials because there is a Coles, Woolies, and Franklins in the one centre…

Have followed your Woolworths & Coles Weekly Specials posts for some time and I like the idea of mashing them together. Cheers! :)

Should put ALDI "everyday prices" as well in comparison as many of these items are made at the same factory and contents but different labels. Hey Corn Flakes is Corn Flakes - Same crap that i would not touch.

Others such as IGA (which I'd rather buy from and support) and Franklins are to small and frankly not many stores…can be excluded, as well as Costco (useful if you leave in a commune and have 10 kids) ;)

But Aldi is just so wierd. The products look like stuff you're used to buying, but the packaging seems not quite right, like fake products on TV/Movies imitating real life products. I half expect to find a case of Cuke in there one day.

        lol, Cuke.

Some of their brand names are quite amusing.

  • Thanks. By raking hundreds of votes every week, I'm pretty sure you have the most +ive in this site.
