Take notes, plan your day (or year), draw a sketch, or do your math homework. Penbook includes dozens of kinds of stationery, from graph paper to sheet music. You can even import your own photos or PDFs to write on.

Keep your work organized with beautiful, customizable notebook covers. Create in portrait or landscape mode, and share and export your work with just a few taps.

Penbook was built for pens (but you can use your finger or a mouse, if you want), and includes support for Surface Dial.

  • For sketching, Autodesk's Sketchbook is better.

    • Why is Sketchbook better than Penbook?

      Have you tried them both?

Penbook is quite good for quick note taking and all that, but so is OneNote. I do like having pages in a "book" though, and it's pretty lightweight.

If you're sketching/drawing Sketchbook provides better drawing tools and even has layers (and I'm pretty sure it's free).

    Thanks op..

Why does neither app install? Is it because of a KVM processor?

    • Not sure if it helps but click on:

top right 3 dots (or See more) -> Downloads and Updates -> Ready to install (on right side of the window)

      • Thanks, tried that and everything else, and still no luck.

        My processor shows as:
        Processor Common KVM processor

So its probably not compatible, even though its a Intel Xeon x86 as the physical chip.
