  • Looks great… but this is the usual price.

  • But, does it slice Bread or just allow me to see in the dark while slicing? lol

    • +2

      Can

    • ^ This looks like better value. What does that Xiaomi have that this doesn't?

      • I haven't checked in details, but I guess wireless? Which I think may not be of too much use as you will always be in front of your monitor.

        • curious with this one too - what is your monitor size? im thinking to put it to my AW38 - not sure with the monitor curve that it will fit ??

          • @buahahaha: I use 24 inch

          • +1

@buahahaha: Based on the reviews, it doesn't go well with the curve :(

            • @saikatsg: I've got it on an AOC 34" curved and it's ok for me. Tiny bit of reflection off the screen but I don't notice it. Been using it for about a week now.

The Xiaomi has greater colour temperature adjustment whereas the Baseus only has 3 levels. Xiaomi is better in this regard.

The Xiaomi has a wireless controller knob whereas the Baseus has touch control buttons on the light bar itself. If you want a clean desk surface, the Baseus would be better in this regard.

    • The led arrangement looking at the pic, there seems to be less and more spaced out. Othr than that not sure

    • On the last one of these there were a lot of comments that this one gets in your eyes and lights the screen at the same time.

The Xiaomi one is very good, I use it myself.

    • Thanks for this, I went out and bought 4. Just set them up. One of the cheapest and yet already most important EOFY deductibles.

      • wait these are tax deductibles?

damn i may need to go through my ozb related purchases lol

        • Have you worked from home at any time this financial year?

          • @Tenebrae: yeah like 2days a week, more during lockdown and busy weeks lol

            • @bisaya: Well this is an ergonomic appliance, like buying yourself an office chair.

  • I have this light and I like it but the wireless controls is annoying.

The only way to turn the light on and off is via the wireless knob thingy. Nobody changes the temperature of the light that frequently.

    • +1

That sounds convenient? Why is it annoying

      • +2

You need to find batteries for it. There's no way (that i can see) to just adjust the light on the light itself. The control is just another thing to clutter up my desk.

I'm powering from the USB hub in my monitor and it turns on/off with my monitor when input is detected, so I basically never touch the remote. Give that a shot if you have the option.

      • I am thinking about getting the Xiamoi lamp, can you please reconfirm how you have connected and operate yours? Have you got it connected to your monitor USB output and basically the light operates in sync with your monitor?

I want to connect mine to a smart power outlet with USB port and power up the light using voice command via Google Home without touching the hub, would it work? Thanks for your help in advance.

    If you don't need it urgently they're usually $5 - 6 cheaper.

  • Hmmmm…

    Package List:
    2* AAA battery (Not Included)

  • Umm were will the webcam go 👍😁

  • just received mine and my monitor is too thick (Dell AW3821DW)

might have to 3d print an adaptor

  • Honestly, this one thing has been life-changing for me - my eyes are so much happier.

  • This has dropped in price if anyone was still looking

  • how do you disable this from automatically turning on?

    • when does it turn on automatically?

  • Hi all, I have a question regarding this Xiaomi lamp and I appreciate if someone can carry out this test and let me know before I make a decision to buy it.

When the lamp is on (turned on using the remote control), if you disconnect the USB power source for 10-20 seconds and then reconnect, will the lamp turn on again or you need to turn it on using the controller again.

    I appreciate your help.

    • Turns on automatically. Just tested it

      • Thanks a lot

  • Hi all,

I bought two of these light bars for my new monitor set-up (photo below) and a nice surprise fact that I found out through its manual is that I can control both lights with a single wireless controller. Just wanted to share this in case anyone else may find it useful in decision making to use this product.
