  • Just wondering for the people targeted do you usually have to spend over a certain weekly threshold or something? I've never received anything targeted from Coles even though I shop there quite often

      Iunno, Coles isnt even my preferred shop. They probably take into account if you bought this item before with your flybuys, and hence wont give u the offer if you have.

      • Oh it may just be random then, because I haven't bought this particular product before (usually buy the curry sauces in the jars). Thanks for the reply!

          Some I get, others I don't. Recently got two Spice Tailor freebies with only a month between them.

          Seems random to me but who knows - it could be demographic, geographic or some other basis.

    Have tried all three. The rendang is much better compared to the other two.

    While saying that though, this brand does have great Indian curries. The dry spices packet which they include, really make the difference between this and the other sauces (which come in the jars)

    Hmmm I set up flybuys many years ago and cannot log onto the account or get a recovery. It doesn't like date of birth. It seems I set it up with false details so Coles can't link their data to other data about me.
    That teaches me something!

    • Hope you did not lose too much. Quite unusual how they use DOB as their security. I also lost one account due to this when I started on this game as I always use false DOB. They cannot/will not use mobile security code. Now I just keep a record and have warned others on here.

      Yes, occasionally some offers just f* up. That's electronic systems for you.

      One of my two recent Spice Tailor freebies didn't work. Fortunately staff manually fixed it to be free, but some staff may not comprehend the idea that the system doesn't always work flawlessly.

      Had the same issue today, staff told me to contact flybuys directly to get help, I called but the waiting time over the phone was more than an hour wait, staff simply said that they can't do it manually on the system, I don't know why, so I gave up at the end!

      • I also had this happen yesterday. If they are experiencing these issues regularly they should expend the time to redeem offers. I only shop once per week and am not going to go out especially.

      • It's unlikely flybuys call centre staff would be able to assist with errors of a technical nature. They deal with rewards program aspects and probably don't care enough to escalate a back end issue. They're sometimes not very helpful with basic stuff as it is, so investing effort to escalate is hard to imagine.

        The remedy is reliant on store staff being willing to override and give it for free.
