Will the GPU be LHR model?

    • +4

      All 3060 are LHR

      • +8

All 3060 are meant to be mining-limited, but not all are LHR.

        • GA106-300 - Launch model. Full hashrate can be unlocked by using GeForce 470.05 Dev Drivers.

        • GA106-302 - New LHR model. No known method of unlocking full hashrate.

        • +1

Apologies yep, what you've clarified is accurate. We will be likely getting a mixture, as is what it coming into the country with the manufacturing change over.

      • Is LHR software or hardware? Are there any performance issues between the two?

  • +5

This is a good value budget PC. I'm eagerly awaiting my 3070Ti build that should be shipping soon. It'll be good to see how well they're built.

    • +2

Budget PC would be at the 600 mark, not 1300 lol… this is mid to upper range for most

      • I'd call that ultra budget šŸ¤£

      • +3

Depending on what you want the PC for. If you want a budget PC or budget gaming PC. The term gaming will change it all.

  • What would be the intel variants of this build?

    • +4

      10400F and maybe 10700F.

      • Can you please share intel variant with B560M motherboards.

  • any option to upgrade to r5 3600? searching for build for a mate.

    • +1

      It's there.

      • ah yep. found it. thanks.

    • +1

      R5 3500x to R5 3600 is more a side-grade than an upgrade though.

Very slightly slower in some things, very slightly faster in others.

      • +2

Its basically the same thing, you just get SMT

  • +2

    16gb or 12gb GFX card.

It says 16gb above but on the website its 12gb?

    • +1

12GB - looks like I clicked and dragged some text into the wrong spot. Fixed thanks.

  • Any options for a 3060 ti or a system with a 6700 xt at a nice price?

    • No strong supply of either right now, but we are hopeful of that changing!

  • Hey Luke, just wondering, have the 2nd batch of 3070s come in for this week yet? Cheers for any feedback in advance.

    • We're past mid-June for 3070s from what I can see - everything else is shipped or built and testing. If you send me your order number I can check where yours is at

      • Cheers for the update. My order number is TF4635302631 if it's alright for you to check. Thanks again.

        • +1

In build, should ship very shortly!

  • If I was too order this would i have to wait 2+ months like my mate????

    • +3

Without knowing what he ordered I would assume it was a heavily delayed 3070 or 3080 maybe, whose supply has been affected worldwide and which led to some delays for us. There have not been any supply issues with RTX 3060 and we're not hearing anything different for July.

      • Thanks for the honest reply mate

  • This is so tempting!

  • 3060 performance is really mediocre, hoping the upcoming 6600xt replaces this.

  • +1

Luke, what kind of CPU Cooler (240mm)/M.2 can we expect?

    • +4

240mm has been Deepcool Gammax for quite a while. m.2s have been Gigabyte, Lexar, Crucial.

  • +2

Luke, I am interested in the Interl version, Can you please post one tomorrow, I am looking to buy one before 1/7

    • +1

      Should be right yep!

  • +1

Do you provide the stock AMD cooler as well?

    • If it comes with the CPU, yes. If you order a liquid cooler, you'd just get the liquid cooler.

  • Luke, how much price diff if I get this without the SSD and is there pcie slot to put in a wifi card ?

    • Cant split out any parts to reduce cost sorry.
There isn't enough room under the card on the bundled Biostar mobo to fit a PCIE device for certain.

  • Any radeon deals?

  • +1

Wow, we're almost seeing decent prices. 2022 is looking bright.

  • +2

I have stumbled across this at the right time! I am a mum who's wanting to buy a gaming PC for my 12yo to play Minecraft. What should I be looking at? His current laptop is slow and as he does YouTube videos, he needs something less laggy and with a better graphic card. Thanks.

    • +2

This will be amazing for him. Although Minecraft is a small game, if he starts to play a lot of games (or does screen recording) the hard drive might need to be upgraded (or a second installed).

      • Thanks Teddy. Does it make sense to get a 'bigger'? hard drive now?

        • +2

It canā€™t hurt - bump up to a 500gb (windows will probably take up 60gb on its own I think - been a while).

But over time you can always add another separate drive. So keep the 250gb for windows etc then start doing other big games on the secondary drive

        • +3

My advice, get a single bigger drive now. Kids have a way of fiddling things till they break and having a second drive is just asking him to get frustrated when he breaks it fiddling.

    • +3

This will definitely meet all his gaming needs for a few years to come. Very lucky to have you as a mum!

    • +1

A lot more than in required for mine craft, but then should last well into the future.

  • Any plans on doing an Intel version of this build?

    • Yep we will this week

  • Hey Luke, I just bought the RTX 2060 deal for $1188 yesterday, any chance I could get it changed to this one?

  • +3

Thinking of getting this, is it a good idea to upgrade the power supply to the 750W 80 Plus Gold (+$79.00)?

I don't know anything about computers and just see "80 plus gold" and assume it's more reliable. I've heard of other people saying don't cheap out on your power supply or you'll risk blowing everything up prematurely.

    • Power supply seems to be gimping my gpu. I'd upgrade for sure

  • Promising signs for the GPU market given this works out around 40% markup on the GPU!

  • -3

1000 cash if I bring to the office?

    • Nup

    • lmao.

      Username checks out haha.

      • +2

This triggers my PTSD from when I was selling my civic on gumtree

  • +1

Last time I ordered a Ryzen 5 3500X + RTX 2060. It came out very cheap material. I took out RTX 2060 but couldnā€™t sell rest PC. Casing might worth $20-$30. Never heard of Allied Power Supply. Motherboard Biostar B550MH. SSD Team group. Only RAM Ballistix little better. I stripped off entire PC, used MSI casing with corsair liquid cooler, upgrade motherboard, NVMe SSD, still used Allied power supply (some people donā€™t know much about psu). Then I was able to sell it. If you just keep an eye on Centre Com or ebay, after discount you can easily get superior parts. Also, in terms of selling gpu, would have a hard time because people ask for invoice as well original box. GPU usually comes with 3 years warranty. Not sure what would happen after 1 year warranty. Same thing happened with my first order i5 10400F + RTX 3070. This is my observation and experience, no intention to hurt anyone.

    • +4

Everything you described is how Techfast are able to sell the build so cheap. If you want the lowest price then you get the low tier products.

That's why many of us will choose some of the upgrade options to get better parts. Pay an extra $147 in this deal and you've got yourself a branded case, motherboard and PSU. Other things like RAM and storage can be found cheaper in other OzBargain deals.

      • So this isn't really a bargain, just cheap low end products.

        • It absolutely is a bargain as you're able to get your hands on a video card that you normally wouldn't be able to buy elsewhere. Take the 3080s deals as an example, you can get a fully functional working gaming PC for the price of a single 3080.

It's not much to upgrade them to something a little better. Still a lower price than other stores.

    • +1

I got a system last year during lockdown and although I upgraded every component it still costed a little cheaper than buying all parts from a store and building it myself (I really like the clean build from techfast). The comment below is correct when you want to be cheap and your expectation is high. Also my original PC from techfast in 2019 had those lower tier products and still hasn't had a single problem

  • +2

    Hear's a question I havn't seen TF asked before.

What thermal compound do you use?

    • Surely the stock compound that comes on the coolers they use.

      • Yep that's right

  • Hi Luke,
Thanks for the awesome deals. However, I'm wondering if you do custom builds. I really need a 5959x for my workflow and I prefer 3060 and above for the gpu. Do you have anything that comes close?

    • +1

None in stock or available sorry mate

      • Sorry I meant 5950x. I'm assuming that's not in stock either.

        • +1

Yep that's what I was referring to too

  • Can I use this to play Call Of Duty modern warfare, black ops, Cold War and war zones???

    • Yep, it's a high 1080P into 1440P gaming PC.

    • +1

      add me

  • Hi Op, quick question regarding RGB:

    Two RGB fans included yes?
    Is the RAM RGB?
Is the AIO RGB if pay extra?

Is the HD SSD/NVME or not?

What other RGB related hardware is included?

    • 3 rgb fans in the Lance-V case.
Some RAM models have RGB depending what we get in, but it is not generally RGB. Not something we offer as an optional extra/request able feature at this stage. Same with the AIOs.
SSD will say NVME or 2.5" on the listing, you can choose.
      That's it for RGBness.

  • Hi I was wondering why it says the price is 1298 when on the website it is 1498. Is this is a mistake or expired deal?

    • Coupon code on the deal my friend

  • Hi,
I am considering buying this rig and would like to have the most amount of information I can,
Is the GPU single fan as the pc part picker comparison shows that it is. Also is the case the same one as linked in the PC partpicker because I have heard tech fast has heir own case brand

  • I have just bought a 34ā€ curved widescreen WQHD resolution (3440x1440)
would this system suit it ?

It just use email, YouTube, movies, etc
But family might use it for Minecraft, Roblox, valorant, Fortnite, etc at times

I was thinking just to upgrade to 1TB ssd, plus extra storage hdd, upgrade psu

  • Has anyone received these yet ?

    • not yet, I ordered my on 7 July. I did confirm with Luke he said at least 21 days from we ordered, so I will wait at least 28 days. Hope this help.
If you have waited more than 28 days you might want to get in touch and start hassling them.

      • +1

        I paid on the 30 Jun 2021
Its now the 2nd of August and it has yet to have shipped -_-

Emailed on the 26th and Heard it was expecting to be posted late last week or early this week

Still disappointing, I have brought a few techfast machines in the past and knew what to expect but this turn around time is killer…

        • I'm in the same boat, now it's the 10th of August and the order is yet to be shipped.

Has anyone received their build yet?

          • +1

@Hellhound2042: i did receive this email

""Good afternoon, and I hope this email finds you well. We have an important update on your PC order with us.

As you would no doubt be aware, the ongoing COVID restrictions have caused and continue to cause significant supply-chain interruptions. In late July, this was compounded by a statewide lockdown here in South Australia, during which we were only partially operational and assembly/dispatch was severely restricted.

We are therefore behind schedule, and our estimated 14-21 business day window, or systems whose estimated shipping times were listed as July, will now extend into August. We are back at full operation, and have extended our assembly hours to include evenings and weekends, to help us catch up for the time lost. Supply chain impacts are still being felt, with suppliers based in NSW in particular affected, but we are working through those challenges as best we can.

We will continue to ship orders in date order wherever possible, supply chain allowing, and are aiming to have the majority of our RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti orders shipped in the next 2 weeks.

As we have always done in times of delay due to COVID impacts, if you would like to cancel your order for a full refund, you may do so. No restocking fee will apply. Alternatively, you are welcome to retain your order and we will dispatch it as soon as we can.

Please reply to this email and advise us of your choice.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay.

            Kind regards,""

            • @vanyellow: I got the same email actually, Any update on your order out of curiosity?

              • +1

                @Hellhound2042: i got a follow up email.

That GPUs where expected this week and hopefully being shipped out at the end of the week/early next week

  • +1

@Luke - Has this expired? My kids in lockdown are making my wife insane…. I need your help :)

    • This is the error I get when I try to use that code. 'Warning: Coupon is either invalid, expired or reached its usage limit!'

  • Bugger, looks like I left this too long too and missed it šŸ˜„ was going to order this week.

  • Would this is machine handle medium level premier pro video work? I'm not into gaming but really need something that can handle large photoshop files and video editing.

  • +1

Is this deal expired, was about to purchase but it says it's expired.

  • Just got an email from sales…. yep, definitely expired.
