  Speaking of rendang, normally this how I prep it.
  * meat : any cut of meat I usually check woolies or even my local butcher for whatever cut is on sale.
  with rendang the idea is any cut of meat even the cheapest will be cook until very tender.
  * desiccated coconut : I always add this when I cook
  * coconut milk(not cream) : Make sure you do not put too much.
  * some chilli powder or fresh chili padi for a bit of heat.

  After I tried a number of paste (indofood, bamboe) I think this brand is one that match for me. (understood that everybody has different taste ^^ )
  One brand Im yet to try is the "Bumbu 47" which a lot of people said its the "classic" recipe.

  Please share your favourite tweak or tips if you have em :)

    very good question.
    From the manual it said 500 gram per package, but sometime I'm being cheap skate I tried to cook with 1kg of meat and 1 packet of this rendang paste it still come out very2 tasty.
    Now with regards to serve per packet, I believe 500gram of meat should be enough for around 3 adults serving.

    In fact I think the only different I could feel is the level of spiciness, more meat less spicy but that's why I put the chili powder to add some more heat to it :)

  Rep, I think there's something wrong with your postage calculator.
