what is the activation expiry date on the pack?

    • Sorry, it doesn't say on the packaging

  • +1

    Cheers for great deal :)

  • can you buy 3 and activate them all once they expire with your same details?

    • Sorry, we don't know - you may have to find out from Vodafone as this is not normally our product line.

  • Almost as good as the expired Woolies $12.60 (5GB 45 days plus '$500' calls) offer I use in my tablet. I've passed the deal onto some Tablet users on Whirlpool. Thanks!

Sorry but how does $9 for only 3GB which has to be used in 30 days instead of 45 days and includes zero calls rather than $500 worth of calls on a network with a vastly inferior geographic footprint come anywhere close to being "almost as good"??

      • Simple arithmetic… (surprised anyone would need an explanation)
Days per GB: Woolies 9 This deal 10
Price per day: Woolies 28c This deal 30c
Price per GB: Woolies $2.12 This deal $3 (Woolies wins)
This deal was available, but Woolies expired a month back.
So almost the same for 3G Tablet users as I said, for those who did not stock up on Woolies recharges.

This is a Broadband SIM not for calls - but you can't make mobile calls on latest 3G tablets, so I & others have discussed on Whirlpool that we never use the calls, just data on the now expired Woolies Mobile special. (Most bought plenty of recharges for most of this year.)

To use the expensive included Woolies calls, need to remove SIM from 3G Tablet & into mobile (preferably a spare phone so don't miss calls on usual number) or carry extra phone (I would need to buy a suitable one - extra cost) with Woolies SIM & Tether… consensus is we don't bother as have so many included calls already & just want Internet on their Tabs.

I have excellent reception on Vodafone, better than Woolies(Optus).

        • Telstra > Optus > Vodafone: in that order, in respect to coverage quality and call-centre help, this is the accepted wisdom.

Basically it is as you described - only good thing with the above '$3 data' was the data itself (tablet market), that was before special was over before it'd begun.

Most voice users view such inclusions as much of a muchness ($1.05/min-rate here, $0.95/min there), unless you're citing '$0.1/min Savvytel' or (SIP) Pennytel type of rates, then these are all charged to some incredulous inflated premium like $1/min.

Fortunately for the smaller sub groups of tablet users it is a trivial exercise to Tether ones smartphone to tablet or laptop (using cable or Wifi): certainly it can be an asset not having to go shopping for multiple cards & accounts (which clearly is adding cost, to complication).

If as you highlight VF's deal appears "almost as good", it must then follow from simple math based on Woolies' mobile standard (read: available now) recharge, specially after rewards 10% discount, that the values are indeed not far apart:
          29 * 0.9 / 5, therefore $5.22/GB (plus Bonus calls) even @ regular price!

  • Rep - normal mail, registered, or by courier?

    • Normal mail - as it fits and we are losing too much $$ on this as it is

  • If I can get it quickly, this will be useful for my travels. If I order now, how quickly do you post it?

    • We post it within a day of payment clearing

  • Good Deal!!!

  • NetPlus: I ordered 5 before I realised there was a maximum of 3. I already paid via EFT. Have replied to Alex via email. Any issues in a refund for the 2 remainders?

  • Can i replace the sime card in my vodafone usb dongle with this one?

    • Can i replace the sime card in my vodafone usb dongle with this one?

You certainly can. We switch and change ours all the time

  • Please note! Nearly sold out

  • Can I pick up in store?

  • Nice deal .. but i would stay away from vodafone, last time i bought a deal from groupon of this kind (vodafone) it went sour, their support/cs (Indian call center) couldn't do that deal, none aware of that deal. Wasted 2 hours for $2 deal !

Netplus itself is a plus ! bought few memory from them, satisfied and happy customer !

    • This was my regrettable experience as well, not likely to deal with Vodafone again. Got with the better program from Woolworths (45 days 5,000MB; +$500 calls).

  • Deal seems to have gone? Link is dead.

  • Good to see it sold it with so many people ordering multiple pieces….

  • good deal

  • Drats, missed it, after 3 if you get any more, people ordered extra etc etc

  • Damn…this was an awesome deal if only I logged on a few hours earlier :(

    • I know and i needed it too, i am moving in 2 weeks and will be without home internet for 2-3 weeks till i gets connected :(

  • Nooo….. found out i needed some today =((((

  • ordered 3 of them, confirmed by their parts department that they have stock available and "set aside" to be delivered. only received 2 at the end without any notification from their side. only charged for 2 though.

    • Still awaiting my delivery in Syd.

      • i am in sydney, got it today
