7000K would be revolting - sterile, harsh, cold blue light. You want to feel at home, not like you're in a morgue.

    • Exactly. Who would want that in their home.????

It like having those horrible old fluorescent tube lights

      • Totally agree - harsh light that is too glary.

I don't like it too warm either - 2700K I find too orange, perfect for me is Philips 3000k range.

Daylight is about 6500K.. So this is about that. I don't know of many outdoor morgues. Probably not the right color temperature for the TV room but for kitchen, dining, study it would be great.

The in situ photos seem quite misleading. The 18W variant from the title is 150x150mm, the largest, 48W, is 300x300mm.
The photos make the light look at least twice the size of the biggest variant (comparable to the depth of the desk or couch/half of the length of bed).

Doesn't state anywhere that this meets Australian standards AS/NZS 3820.

Last time I made that sort of comment, I was swiftly reminded that OzBargainers would burn their house to the ground intentionally if they knew they'd even come out $1 on top…

      • I think you will be many $ down, after insurance declines your claim.

        • yeah yeah. The way people carry on about it it must happen 20 times a day.

    • Because it's US stock, paid for in US dollars.

  • Its just strip lighting LED's in a square glass.
