There was always that one kid who would come to school wearing sneakers from Target while everyone else was wearing Jordans.

      • Was just trying to help with getting a swiss army knife cheaper and faster but ok thanks for downvotes all. Acting like a bunch of kids or even reddit admins over here

Nooooo! Please don't feed my inner SAK monster! I already got addicted to collecting the alox limited editions this year.

$10 shipping to WA makes Amazon slightly cheaper if you have Prime.

    Edit: For the Tinker.

  • Anyone know where these are made?

    • +1

      Ibach, Switzerland

    • I think instead of where it's made, (i used to sell knives) you should ask what materials are used (nothing special).

I like leatherman better but now even wingman's are $120 these days

  • Looks like a good deal, but… “Tinker”?

What's wrong with Tinker? I've seen this comment a few times but don't understand the reference?

Would pair nicely with this belt from another deal: https://www.allingtons.com.au/outback-belts-double-layer-hob…

    • Okay but why do I need a belt to hold my stump of wood up??

I have had one of these for 30 years. Great tool.

With this and now all I need is a crocodile Dundee/Rambo knife to bring to my first camping trip.

  • I think this one is good price too. https://www.thenile.com.au/home/cyber-swiss-card-swiss-army-…

Not sure have I seen it at this price before. (Note: This is different to the other one with the screw driver which is selling at much cheaper price)

I have one of these, but I'd rather have something WITHOUT a blade, so I don't have to remember to leave it behind when entering secure areas like airports.

What I'd like would be the same size as this, but with six locking screwdrivers - two flat, two philips and two pozidrive. No blades, saws or sharp bits.

Anyone seen anything like this? I can find lots that don't lock, and usually with mostly torx or hex drivers. Surely someone makes one?

    • I agree with your first sentiment and have been thinking about getting a knifeless rebar so I can still have tools on me at all times without being a weirdo who carries a knife around in public. They will still take it off you at the airport, though.

    • I was relieved of a basic older Swiss Army knife by airport security X-ray bag check before flying out from SYD years ago - they said on my return I could ask at some office

so I did - the guy put a bucket with like a hundred of such on the table and said help yourself - seeing a fancy new one with more things I chose that and thank you very much

and was relieved of that later by airport security X-ray bag check on departing HKD Hakodate Hokkaido Japan - the woman in uniform held it up wordlessly with sad but meaningful expression 'we'll be keeping this' … ooh noo !

meh - easy come, easy go - at least it wasn't Fukuoka Kyushu Japan or it would have been 'FUK' !

Don't fall them trying to tell you they are giving a big Discount reducing the price from $42 the normal selling price with most retailers is $30 +/- with postage it is around $32. But if you have Amazon Prime it is less than $30 with faster delivery for this mob to send it with fast Delivery it is over $40. When I saw them bullshitting about reducing it from above $40 I googled and found other retailers of the same model knife. If a retailer bullshits about the price they don't get my money "F" them.

    • Agree
Not much of a discount anyway. They're about $31 on eBay. Can snag it for cheaper than this with a discount voucher. Works out slightly cheaper than the cost plus shipping here.

  • I used to want one of these as a kid.
We couldn't afford a proper one, so I bought an el-cheapo clone with nasty plastic handle.
    They were pretty crap.
When I got a job and saved up for one, I found the geniune thing to still be a major disappointment.
The blade was pretty blunt to start with, and you can't really do much with it other than occasionally jam your finger.
    Of course, YMMV.
