  • Thanks OP, JB heaps closer to me so will try a pricematch. Anyone tried and can comment on the Organic range

    • +20

Even if JB wasn't closer I'd go out of my way to price match with them than buy from HN

      • Most are these are about $5 - $7 normally anyway.

    • +1

Yes they are great. A local Aussie company - Sodapress Co. All natural ingredients and flavours are bang on.

Aye aye captain, thanks for that ☠

please pricematch first instead of giving money to "the professional" accuser Gerry

If only Dr Pete was here.

    • If only, can’t even find a cost effective way to import anymore.

      • Agree really is a shame 😭

  • When I add Pepsi Maxx Syrup in soda, the soda immediately goes flat losing all the fizz. Is that normal or am I doing it wrong??

    • Same happens to me with the pepsi max flavour.

    • -2

You have to shake the carbonated water before you open it and put the syrup in.

      • +1

Yeah probably I should do that. Better to pump out all fizzy plain soda onto floor than drinking it flat with syrup. But cleaning up is not fun though..

    • +1

Do 4 pumps and also close the lid after adding the syrup in for 5 mins

  • Please note, the plain Pepsi still contains artificial sweeteners. Learnt this the hard way

  • Can you just use cordial? or are these significantly better?

    • Do they make Pepsi cordial

  • Most of these are around $5-$7 normally.

    • PriceHipster disagrees.

The 440mL bottles are normally $7.95 and 500mL is normally $9.95.

I posted it as it’s a genuine deal.

  • I like the energy drink. I think it tastes great.

  • +1

Best is still sodastream with rainwater and fresh lemon from the garden without any sirups.

    • +2

Interesting combination, but we don't all have rain tanks with a fruiting lemon tree out the back.

      • Well depending where you live, drinking water and lemons you can buy or just tap water.

  • What exactly is "Organic Cola"? Is there any actual organic ingredients in coke?

    • It’s cola, not coke. Two different words and different things.

  • Hey guys - stupid question - it used to be you buy a SodaStream maker - that was it.

    Now there's like 7 models.

Are they basically all the same and they all make softdrinks or do I need to buy specific models??? I'd need a starter kit with turn-key ready to go (just add flavour).

Best Value? Any one special we know of right now?

Sorry as a family we've been looking at it for a bit but confusion always reigns and we hesitate..

    Regards,
    Ed.

hate the too many options too. I've got two different versions at home - they're all kinda the same thing. I'd prefer ones that are not connected to power. You may be able to find it for $35-$50 in some offers. Even Aldi had one last week.

  • +1

Cheaper ones you need to screw your bottle in every time you charge, better ones you just lever in and they auto lock, worth it for a few extra dollars imho.

    • Thanks Jas,

With the 7 differing models, you don't know of a model in particular that has the lever?

      • +1

Sodastream Spirit is around $70-80 on special and locks in with the lever. I have one and it hasn’t skipped a beat. Manual operation (no power)
