    Must…. wait….RRP…

  • I think it got ozbargained

  • So. If my maths it right video card prices are falling 5% per day. Wait a month

    • Its because crypto is falling, if crypto rebounds, video card prices will go back up, its just supply and demand.

I got my EVGA SC 1080 brand new for $600 when it was current generation.
I guess I am now priced out of the 80 and 80ti cards

That's asset inflation for ya. :P Priced out of property and graphics cards. haha

I bought a bunch of 3080s when they were released to mine. They've all paid for themselves now.

      • Not priced out of property, only have 9mnths left on my mortgage,
30 year mortgage payed off in just under 20 years.

        • Nice, good on ya. Then you shouldn't be priced out of any graphics card haha. Just sell people some bricks haha.

I paid off mine in a lot shorter time, but I kinda cheated with Bitcoin. I feel like that's a cheat code lol

    • You can actually sell it for $800 now probably

Waiting for the price to come down to $500 later this year before I build a new rig ;p

    • $100 on Gumtree by year's end 😉

        Cool

  • Only 4 left for the non-LHR version!

  • After half year, won’t hurt more to wait a bit longer.
    Brothers !

    • In the mean time, you just keep saying your prayers, taking your vitamins, brothers!

  • Does the code apply for the Phantom one ? It keeps saying it expired already

    • +1

looks like code expired at midnight. maybe for the best, my finger got very itchy

  • Man gaming has changed so much. It’s for the profiiiitttttsssss yo

I can wait forever pretty much now as i have no real passion for gaming or 3d modelling or anything that can really be done with these cards now it is just a random hobby now but years ago i was set to try and make something but that ship has sailed.

Not even that interested in 4k max settings graphics anymore real life is more interesting.

I can't even look at this knowing they were around the $1200 AUD mark at one time which is pretty ridiculous for a 80 tier card.

Hope someone else makes the beautiful looking top down rts game.

When big format displays become affordable i hope they cash in on that and make some good to look at city builders.

Only Anno 1800 is pretty breathtaking atm in 4k.

      Cool story

      • Go make it happen or not the power is yours.

      • It's not a low-effort quip, though.

this subject is very sensitive… gaming is a big thing in alot of people's lives it's like going after kpop fans you know what you are getting yourself into

I think I am slowly getting there, probably age showing up on me. lol, And having netflix has made it worse. Being in software field, everytime I think of gaming, I see there is so much more I have to learn in my field, change my job and start earning more. lol. I have a GTX 1080 on a 27DGF, will probably continue with that for some more time, probably until 4XXX or AMD 7XXX series.

    • Hitting 28 soon, got the exact same feeling. Upgrading of just for the sake of doing it. Rarely plays game now( used to be really competitive) , feelsbadman

      • Tbf i am just more interested in my work more nowadays and honestly moving towards more physical things like exercise and just anything really that is not sitting in front of a screen.

It is a world of difference.

But i would be lying if i said i dont still admire the graphics.

It's just the games feel pointless give me zero purpose i tried using it to socialise or do multiplayer only voice chat social gaming but even that got tiring. . Maybe i just need a break but i haven't played a game in awhile now i feel like i am over it now.

Can't make the transition to social sports but running and just simple exercises at home feel so much better now.

        To each their own.

  • Ty for price update.

I knew the 6800XT and 6900XT's were tumbling down, now I guess time has caught up to the RTX cards too =D.

Seems like we can actually expect some good deals for GPU's during Black Friday ~ Cyber Monday this year.

    • you can already get 6800 xt for $1600 which is a better performing card
dont think the prices will go much under $1500 though but a bit more of a drop will happen

Hope the Gainward 3080s aren't the ones being used for the Techfast PC builds, according to most reviews I've seen they run pretty hot and are quite loud

  • +2

Watch out reviews on this card indicate they run hot and loud and not easy to fix these issues

    • Sure it is, Just rip the fans off and put a waterblock on it.

  • +2

I just honestly can't remember what these cards are supposed to be priced at…
Is this where you find the "official" Nvidia MSRP? shop.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/store/gpu/

  • It seems like 4 ppl bought after midnight even WITHOUT the discount code? WOW

    • Miners XD

  • So many neck beards in one place, i love it.

  • +1

For anyone buying a 3080 for mining, consider changing the thermal pads on vram. It gets very hot, especially if you OC the memory (which you should to maximise your hash rate).

I went down from the high 90s/low 100s to high 80s and feel much more comfortable with that.

Technically nvidia said the crazy 3080 mem temps are within spec but $20 for a sheet of thermal pads is worth the peace of mind to me.

    • How are you reading the memory temps?
Does this model have an onboard sensor or using an external probe?

      • latest HWiNFO64 gpu section. It includes 'GPU Memory Junction Temperature'.

        • Interesting, it definitely didn't have that before.
Will have to give it a go tonight, cheers!

  • 3080 gigabyte in stock again. says 10 available. 1899 without any codes
