Title needs amendment. Not TGG eBay.

    • +1

For those who think you have missed out today, I was informed by a TGG store manager that their sale is actually starting tomorrow! And they will have 20% off on TVs among other things in-store.

      • No wonder they took down the listings for the flagship LG G1

        • Luckilly I got LG G1 65" yesterday before TGG took down.

      • Uhhhh… 20% off on… every tv?

        • The banner on the website says "A huge range of TV's"/ "Selected TV's", so no, not every TV.

      • So where are the deals? Lol

  • Online Only?

The Breville The Barista Pro is available in the Smoked Hickory colour also for those interested:

Woah baby, the 77 might be under 5 by the end of the year.

    I'm hoping for the 65 under 2.5.

    • Me too!

    • +4

I don't recall tv prices falling this quickly after launch to be honest.. maybe not enough takers?

      • +11

ppl dont have that job keeper money now

      • +2

Don't think it's the lack of takers, at least for the big screens. The 77" C1s are on backorder. I'm still waiting for one bought at the $6000 price a week or two ago - TGG can't even tell me when it's going to turn up.

Watched prices all last year on top of the line OLEDs and QLEDs, never found any great bargains so kept waiting - this year TGG's price cutting has been insane.

        • You gonna try get them to match this discounted price? Realistically will this tv drop much further than 5600 by the end of the year, its past my trigger point but if its gonna keep dropping…

          • @Deeseeee: This is me also :D

            • @Stalker: There must be a few of us lol, when will they release the 2022 models and stop making the c1 though? I don't want to leave it to late then miss out on stock like the cx

      • +1

Probably most people likely to buy an OLED already have one - not much to be gained by replacing an older one yet

  • +3

    Early pricing looks promising.

  • Damn, coffee machines are coming back down in price, nice.

  • +3

I bought the C1 77 a month ago at 6650. Thought I got a good price but well. Great TV though.

  • +1

Damn, bought the G1 65 last week via TGG ebay at $3685. Delivery next week… anyone has experience in cancelling TGG ebay, is it easy?

    • +1

Me too. Just bought the G1 in store and price matched last Saturday and it droppped by $200 already!

      • A friend is in the same boat. Crazy prices

  • Looking at the 70" hisense. Not expecting amazing things from this TV but is it an OK TV? Does anyone own one? How is the input lag, just casual gamer here. TIA everyone 😊

    • Will be fine, honestly. There may be lag but if you are running an android box and PS/Xbox that won't exist.

      • +1

How will I avoid the lag with an android box? Don't really understand how that will change anything. Also, what android box do you recommend? Thanks heaps for the info mate!

        • +1

The laggy part of a TV is the operating system. An individual android box has its own operating system that is faster. By running the TV through an android box or fetch box, you are bypasing the TV's operating system.

          • @Fabio08: Late reply. But I believe he was referring to input lag, not O/S lag. :)

    • +1

Saw one instore, great value if you need a TV
      note
      -Won't be great for HDR,
      -only 3 HDMI inputs
      - OS dosent have disney plus but most everything else in there. (KAYO, etc)

I have a 65Q7 and an older model 65 hisense 4k and both are great TVs for the money.

      • +1

        lg doesnt even have kayo…

    • Just don't expect too much. Watched it in store with some Alice in Wonderland movie playing. Colours very washed out but it's 70" for cheap if size is what you're after.

  • Some great new low prices here.

  • Is the aud up or something? Or is tv demand just down? Or are they just producing more panels?

    • +3

It's China. CCP have subsidised the cost because they have implanted chips into these TVs to spy on you and your binge habits.

      • +1

I know this is half in jest, but any sources around LG's privacy on home entertainment stuff? I know you can turn off analytics and the feature that captures your whole screen for recommendations, but unsure how deep it goes.

        • +4

If concerned don't connect it to the internet.

  • +3

Google TV with Chromecast with 3 months bonus to YouTube TV is $79.20 too. Great deal

    • +1

Thanks, have chucked that one in. It wasn't discounted when I first searched but must have dropped :)

    • Thanks got one!

  • +3

    Absolutely incredible price.

Any idea how long TGG can hold out deliveries for? Thinking of buying now but we're not moving to our new place for another 8 weeks or so…

    • Wondering exactly the same, we move in about 3 weeks!

      • Perhaps you can price match in-store and just pay a deposit to lock it in, and/or tell them to delay delivery?

      • Same, will move in 3 weeks. I think I'm going to buy it.

        • I did this once. Told them I was caravanning around Australia and wouldn't be back for a few weeks. They held it.

    • +1

I did the sale via the phone and they applied the code and it will be at the local store for pickup. No real time limit to pick up the items.

      • I called up and was told the same thing - didn't ask about the promo code so good to know!

      • They wouldn't do it over the phone for me, the local store that is.
Head office was happy to help.

    • Held my 85” X9000 for 8 weeks, just got it delivered last week.

    • Bought a washer last year few weeks before I moved house, they were ok to delivery after I moved.

  • +1

    Amazing prices. That 77C1, damn.

  • Has anyone got the Hisense? Thinking of getting for my parents, wondering on ease of use for less tech savvy people. Thanks

    • I have a slightly better hisense that I got last year. Remote is easy, the on button goes to normal terrestrial TV, the dedicated Netflix, Prime, and Youtube buttons turn it on and open the respective app. The rest of the apps are accessed by pressing the Home button and selecting with the direction pad. As long as you set up the channels and subscriptions for them then it should be no harder than any other TV.

    • Have a 2019 75". Va panel that suffers badly from a red bleed at times depending on content playing back. Gives food blacks but the bleed does my head in at times. Lack of d+ app also annoys me. Otherwise its a pretty solid TV. Dolby vision is also pretty average on it. Backlight amps up to much and turns blacks to grey so I tend to force hdr only which doesnt suffer same issue.

  • $716 for a 70" sounds crazy….. anyone knows if is it any good compared to other led TVs??

  • Dammit. I need to learn to hold out abit longer. Pulled the trigger when tgg had 10% off :(

  • +1

Anyone able to give me a quick rundown on the difference between the C1 and G1 in the 65"?

    • +1

G1 has a slightly brighter panel, also comes with a wall bracket but not a stand

      • I bought my g1 and it came with a stand. Was in a seperate box

        • +1

Oh lucky then! As far as I know they're advertised as not coming with a stand but I do think i've read a few others that have received one

          • @hodgeyhodgey: Yep. Even the box the tv is in says the stand is sold seperate.
I bought a stand on amazon and had to return it haha

        • Did you have to pay extra for that? Definitely more keen if it comes bundled for free, I don't have a wall to mount it on :o

          • +1

@Alzori: I would probably save the money and go with the C1 if you don't plan to wall mount it. In reality you're unlikely to notice a drastic difference between the panels if you're just an every day TV user like most of us.

            • +4

@hodgeyhodgey: When they were 20% cheaper, sure. For 4% extra though right now I'd rather get the better one. I like the thinner profile, and might wall mount it in future.

          • +1

@Alzori: Nope i didnt know i was getting one. I even asked the guy at tgg and he said they dont come with them. But ended up getting one from them when they delivered it

      • +20

All G1s for Australia are supposed to include the seperate stand at no charge.
It is a seperate box, JB forgot mine i called and they delivered it the next day. It also includes the plastic covers to go over the cables if you want.

        These are the part numbers:
        AP-G1DV55
        AP-G1DV65
        AP-G1DV77

        • +1

          Awesome! That's great to know.

        • Hi,
Where did you find these information? I just buy the LG G1 65" yesterday.
          Thanks

        • just bought G1 55, the box says "stand can be purchased separate", where did you get information that G1 Australia is supposed to include stand? It is so I can call TGG to inquiry tomorrow

          • @BlackorRed: Many were given it on pick up, I didn't get it like a few others. I called JB about it, the manager called me back and said I was supposed to get it, and he got it sent out.

            • @snuke: just called TGG where I collected the TV, it was a separate box but the guy insisted that I should double-check, what the heck!!! so rude, worse customer service but I would expect that from TGG…nothing good from them at all

  • My Second Hand Breville Dual Boiler willl probably die this year.

Is the Barista Pro worth the $100 over the Express? Would love to get a Dual Boiler but dont think I can justify paying the $850+ they have been going for recently.

    • +5

Dual boiler is a much better unit than the Pro.

Reach out to Breville, their support guys are pretty great - They sent me an extra set of seals etc. They may be able to help you out

    • +1

My Second Hand Breville Dual Boiler willl probably die this year.

      What are the symptoms?
Preventive maintenance can extend it's life - fixing leaks ASAP will save electronic components from burning (because of the moisture).
Also local community is great - there are multiple success stories of DIY repair.

  • My new house will be settled in 3 weeks, I've looking for 77G1 for quite a while, shall I keep waiting or buy now? It's a great price but it seems like it will keep dropping in the future.

    • +5

      Buy and use price protection

      • Thanks, bought a 77G1

      • +1

How can one get Price Protection?

        • Probably referring to a benefit of a credit card. I know 28 degrees has/had it.

  • You have entered a duplicate promotion code "TODAY". Is the party over?

    • Which product are you trying to buy? I just replicated all the TV's and still working (same discount at checkout).

      • I wanted to buy the fetch tv mini. I don't think it's part of the promotion

        • Ahh yeah, if you don't see a discount at checkout after applying the coupon, the product won't be included.

I think they're actually adding more as they go, so it may be included later on but can't confirm. Might be worth checking back a bit later.

Note: Seems to work on the Fetch TV Mini 4K currently bringing it to $159.20.

          • @doweyy: thanks it worked with the mini 4k. The other mini was on clearance maybe that is why

    • did you enter it twice?

  • +2

    no deal on the 48" C1 :(

    • +4

Just updating, the 48C1 is now included for $2076 :)

      • Is that all time low?

      • Dangit! I Paid 2.2k for this a month ago. thought i was getting a good deal.

  • +3

Sony please take note and reduce 77" A80J!

    • They won't do it, Sony couldn't care less about the Australian market

      • The LG is better anyway too

        • For some things like gaming and delivering on feature promises, yes, for other things like pure picture quality and upscaling, no.

  • Wow, great prices…..any pricing on the 83 C1?

    • Nothing online as of yet as don't seem to be available on site. Could attempt to talk to them in-store but not sure they'd offer anything on it.
