Not defending OP or the business, but I think this is being misinterpreted.

The way I read this is, the business is confident enough in the quality and service to provide this gurrantee.

It's the same idea as warranty on a product? If a manufacturer provides a 5 year warranty… It's not announcing that they produce shit products, it's a message of confidence.

But that's my take. Take it how you will. I know this comment will get negs.

Except the difference here is that the cleaning company would likely be already gone by the time you're sorting out paperwork and bond, so if the landlord finds something it looks bad on you and what do you say then? Oh let me just ring my cleaner Jimmy to see when he can come back and finish what he was supposed to have done?

I personally wouldn't be a pretentious twat and just clean it myself, something I shouldn't have to do if I'm paying someone.

However, once you get to this point you realise that guarantee or not makes little difference and any company might miss a spot.

        • so if the landlord finds something it looks bad on you and what do you say then? Oh let me just ring my cleaner Jimmy to see when he can come back and finish what he was supposed to have done?

          That's exactly what I did.

          • @jonathonsunshine: Not sure what happened when you moved out or if I just had a shitty landlord but I needed to be out by that afternoon but weren't willing to come around until that afternoon. Leaving me with zero time for any incomplete cleaning a company coming in prior did.

If they are doing well, which I hope so, they won't be able to just down tools and be there in 10 mins.

              You had a shitty landlord

How mamy 457's do you employ?

  • Do you clean outside the home? Have lots of branches/green waste that need cleaning up.

  • I hired someone off FB marketplace and was taken for a ride. Companies are heaps better when it comes down to a proper clean. It is better to have just $30 off than 30% off on a jacked price.
