$5 credit at Wing Drone Delivery, in use at places at Logan etc.

Use this at checkout to get a $5 credit. Saw it via in-app push notification - not sure if targeted.

It's possible to get free things delivered if you sign up as your first 2 deliveries are free anyway. I've gotten 2x bags of CC chips, and a cookie delivered (I signed up and so did my wife). CC details required for the app (even when checkout is $0) which is a bit of a downer.

  from their FAQ: Wing’s aircraft is designed to deliver small packages that weigh approximately 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) or less.

  hah. So no Domino's Pizza delivery then, unless its a $3 mini pizza.

  If you live in an apartment block or a house/townhouse where you don’t have a yard to land the drone, how does it deliver?

    The app seems to identify places it can land near you. So I guess you'd walk outside and pick it up.

    The drones hover while the package is winched down on to the driveway.

    FYI: The drone is operating at north Canberra now (base is at Mitchell) after some residents from the south made a big deal about the noise (apparently it is noisier than a mowing machine). So Wings moved to the north and we do not have any complaints in my neighborhood.

      I’ve noticed these drones when visiting a friend’s place near Mitchell.

      The drones used to be quite loud and obvious (but I wouldn’t say they were louder than a moving machine), but I think they’ve switched to different drones in the last couple of months, as they’re a lot quieter now and more difficult to notice.

  First time users also get a pack of tim tams for free. All deliveries seem to come with a bottle of water to act as ballast.

    It's a good question. The app is pretty light on features, so I'm not sure if you can pre-order.
