Saw this on RetraVision's Website. Free Installation Samsung Reverse Cycle Split System Air Conditioner. They charge $500 installation for each of these Samsung units. So basically that is what you are saving $500 per unit.

    That's pretty impressive given a basic install is typically at least $500-600 on top of the AC itself, and the Retravision prices aren't inflated by nearly that much. Have to wonder about quality of the installers.

    Does it say when they do the install? Someone I know took up a similar deal (I can't remember exactly, if it was Retravision) and they had to chase the shop for 4+ months. I think she ended up getting her money back in the end.

    I purchased a panasonic 3.5KW last season from Retravision on a similar deal.
    Installed for $1200… i paid an extra $66 for the wall mount but it was optional.
    Other than that no extra charges. Installer was a very experienced guy and said they do a deal with retravision for so many units. Keeps them busy during off season.

      Do they normally rip you as any other tradies for a non standard installation. According to T&C's you need to install it in ground floor and very close to electricity meter and then the out side unit might also end up in your street front of the house :D
      I am now scared to touch these deals with very tight conditions where you can hardly find a house to do this kind of installation. I once took a deal for Solar and at the end they charged me a ridiculous surcharge for being double story which was more than double what a company would normally charge for that without any deals. Once you pay for the non standard installation you might end up paying more than a normal price. So you should be careful with these as you have no control over the way they charge for non standard installation which would be the case for almost every house.

    2.5 KW seems hardley big enough, really only big enough for a small living area, definitely not open plan.

    I did a bit of research and didnt find any recent nor local info on Samsung aircon units. What I did find was a wiki on Whirlpool which has a lot of info on aircons in general; which is good for someone like me who isnt too familiar.

    Went in to retravision and was told the smaller 2.5 kw are completely sold out statewide. Bummer.

    I'm using a Samsung. No problems so far. Quiet unit as well. Installation can be had for below $400 if u look hard enough. But good price as less fuss when claiming warranty as was installed by their licensed ppl.

      Absolutely. I will never get an air con installed by anyone other than the vendors people. Otherwise in the case of a problem you end up in an endless loop of the installers blaming the product and the product vendor blaming the install.

    Just purchased the 3.5kw Samsung units today from Osborne Park, turn around time for installation is 3 weeks

    Extra $90 if you want the compressor wall bracket mounted
