Bought this and one arrived today. Very happy with the quality.

JB Hi Fi is selling the same at $149.95

Catch.com and Mydeal also has the same @ $19.0 + delivery

Got both this and Homedics. Prefer this
because of bigger size. can put more things including keys, face masks and phones in.

It includes a reusable test paper inside so can test the thing is working.

Can use Code AFTERPAY10 for $10 coupon off total. Min $20 spent and pay with Afterpay.

I was sold after watching these YouTube videos 1 2

The video does not show @ There is a metal tray to lift the items up, so the light can reach the bottom of items.

  • Got one thanks. Was able to use my Ebay Plus voucher?? to bring it down to $14. We bought a fancy UV steriliser a while back for our baby but I'm not allowed to put my stuff in there. This will come in handy.

    • What stuff for the baby? Pacifiers?

      • Pretty much anything for the baby. Never really believed in UV sterilisation before but it was always a thing in Korea. Seems like everyone in Korea who has a baby has some sort of sterilizing cabinet. My Korean wife wanted us to get one and eventually I caved.

Still don't know how effective UV sterilisation is but at this price it's worth trying. At the moment I spray alcohol on my phone when I get home. Will be nice to be able to sanitise everything else.

        • watch YouTube video links 2 above from 3.30 to perform your DIY test,

  • +2

urgh even from video i can see how cheap the quality is…..

  • It looks like you're cooking your valuables on a grill…

I really doubt this was $150 at any point. Found very similar items on Aliexpress for $14 searching for "USB Portable UV Light Sterilizer Bag"

  • +1

Lots of fake LEDs non UVC in the market

    • the banana test to test if it’s real. Besides the test paper comes inside the box, don’t throw it away.

      • Got the bag today, leds works (purple light) but the test paper didn't show "UV Works" letters as it says? Fake?
        Does it work for you?

Thanks, bought 2 for $28 using afterpay

72 units sold so far. 18 + vote.

Keen to know how you think of it when you see it. Bought many myself as gift for family and friends for Xmas.

      • Clicked. Will see how it goes. does it come with the rack as shown in the picture? if not, any idea where to buy one that could fit in?

        • +1

          Yes it has a rack.

This worth $5 max, how the hell JBHIFI sell it for $149.95 is beyond me.

  • +1

It's a shame they don't have leds on the base. Any reflected uv-c is considerably diminished in power, so you need to turn over each item and run twice.

    • +1

same thought. it could be an improvement to have leds on the base as well as sides.

  • The 1st video is telemarketing.
The 2nd video isn't even the sale product or brand. That one is over $100US.

    • telemarketing and sold in JB HIFi - better than random search on internet.

like the homedics, this includes tested report on cycles and % disinfection.

all gone. hope those who bought it are happy

      • not all gone yet. just bought 2.

        • yes I saw they added stock this morning. hence cancelled the expiry.

        • loving it. sanitising everything in it. don’t throw away the tiny reusable test paper inside.

  • I have received this product but tried with test paper, it doesn't change colour or show any text on it

    • same here. does it mean it is fake?

      • same here. asking seller… at worst eBay protection.

      • +1

try not to panic yet. test on my homedic uvc from Bing Lee too. The paper did no change as well.

currently testing it myself with cheese in zip lock bag.

        • Ok, I got a reply from the seller:

          I’m really sorry about that.
The supplier has advised the following - The product will be okay. There was an issue with the ink on some of the test strips. Sadly they have run out of test strips to be able to send out replacement strips :(

        • If someone knows an easy way to test it that'd be great. The banana test linked above seems quite complicated.

          • @Stevemao: Written to seller who contacted the supplier - says it’s the ink on the paper. claimed no problem. ordered some Uvc test paper which shall arrive in two weeks. Will keep you post the result.

        • The cheese did not mould at all after 7 days. Wonder if it’s the bag or cheese?
