App crashed upon launch. Android 11. Similar reports has been made by many others on Google Play.

    • Adguard for Android caused the crashed.

I can also confirm that some of the referral code does not work.

      • mines disabled and it still crashes

  • How much do you get if you use referral code?

    • It says there under the referral links:

Referrer receives $10 after successful account creation by referee. Referee receives nothing.

  • If they don't stack better to sign up using a referral

    • As I read it: Using referral: Better for the referrer ($10), worse for you ($0).
      This promo give you $5.

  • +1

The OzB referral codes seem invalid :+(

    • I found one that was valid for $10 and signed up using it. It seems many of them are not though!

      • +2

        "Referee receives nothing."
How are you getting $10? I found a few codes that look valid, but nothing to indicate I would get $10 though

      • How can you tell which referral code is giving $5 or $10?

        • +1

As far as I know for referee it's $0 with referral or $5.
For referrer it's $10 normally but I got 1 referral and received $20 (in that case the referee gets nothing).

  • Is this tied to a bank account?

    • +1

No, seems to be virtual only so you don't need to open a bank account.

    • Yes, they open a bank account for you.
You get a BSB and account number, and you can transfer money out/in via BSB/Account.
      The BSB is 013-962 (ANZ).

      See also here.

      Funds Holder
Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Limited ABN 11 005 357 522 AFSL no. 234527 (‘ANZ’) is an authorised deposit-taking institution (‘ADI’) holding the authority to carry on a banking business in Australia. ANZ holds all Card funds, including the Available Balance on the Card, in segregated accounts and guarantees them on the Issuer’s behalf.

  • Do they do a credit check for this?

  • how do I get $10? Does anyone want to send me a referral link?

    • The $10 is only for the referrer, that has their code used. Then once you refer somone, you get $10.

  • Once you get the $10, how do you use it lol? Google pay does not work with the virtual card.

    • I transferred it out to my other bank account. It doesn't look like they have fast pay as I have yet to see the transfer show up on the other account.

EDIT: Based on the FAQ, it may take 1-5 business days for the funds to arrive.

      • I transferred $1 at +-4pm it's already in my other bank account.
        Not instant though..
        Hope that helps.

  • I used one of the referral codes here not knowing that I would get $0. I then referred a friend, they signed up successfully and I got paid $20 in one transaction from Lifepay. Happy with the extra $10, but how come?

    • Did you sign up with this deal or the previous deal below:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/607451

      • I signed up using the deal from here, but instead of using the LPFIVE code, I used one from the random referral. The $20 I got was paid in a single transaction, which is why I am surprised.

        • Maybe someone else here in OzB along with your friend used your referral.

          • @ilovefullprice: Erm, no… it says I have 1 referral total.

            • @darthsparrow: During sign up when you entered the referral code, does it say you will be getting $5, $10 or it doesn’t actually say how much you will be getting?

Someone else here mentioned they got $10 too:

              • +1

@ilovefullprice: I didn't see anything during signup about what amount I would be getting.
It does say if the code isn't valid - a lot of codes on OB referral are invalid.
But also LPFIVE did not show you would get $5.
I think for us, it would be better if both referee and referrer would split the bonus, that way referral system on OB would help us.
Anyway, if you enter the referral system your giving away your first name AND phone number to everybody..

I got bonus instantly after identity verification.

        • +1

I signed up with LPFIVE got $5 then referred somebody and got $20 (they got nothing - from lifepay).

    • +1

The app says it's only $10 for referrals but I spoke to support earlier today and they said it's $20. Might explain what's happened to you lol.

      • +1

Yeap, it's $20 for referrer and $0 for referee in that case.

  • Just realised that there is no way to add this to Fitbit pay since there is no 'card number' :(

  • Had to turn my VPN off to get the app to work. Got $5 instantly. Is this virtual Visa like the ones people use to sign up to free stuff online. Like how everyone had trouble with the free Foxtel boxes and were getting charged on their credit cards?

  • Do you get a visa card number for online shpping?

    • Update: I can see there's an account number (Visa card) assigned with a CVV2

But interestingly the VISA itself says that it is "Limited Use"

  • Excellent, thanks OP - $5 signup then referred OH for $20, five minutes later paid $25 to Optus. Easiest money I've made all year.
