Process:

  1. Sign up to a new LifePay account (using referral code) via iOS or Android app, and then KYC (verify identity with Drivers License No or Passport No etc).
  2. Once automatic account setup is complete and identity verified, apply for either a free virtual or free physical card (in the wallet area of the app).
  3. $10 Credit is automatically applied to your account.

• Can choose either / both virtual and physical Visa Card on the one bank account
• $0 monthly fee
• $0 international card payment fees

    This is a con it seems. No $10, but looks like I made $10 for someone else.

    I highly recommend you do NOT sign up unless you really want this service. I'm going to try and cancel it.

            @zathras: Worked for me but your link is a referral link.

            Suggest you change it to a non referral link and put your referral in the post. That way the mods can remove it once they add it to the referral database.

              Try closing the app and logging in again as chaute mentioned in his post below.

    Didn't work for me either, I think this was a referral scam, code only gives $10 for the referrer.

    The LP2021 code looks like a better idea from the comments above.

        Are you telling us that your referral program is not ready and invitees will not receive their $10 bonus without manual intervention, and the generic LP2021 is the only code that is guaranteed to work at the moment?

        If so, then this deal is unobtainable until you have corrected your IT issue.

    Apologies to anyone if the referral code didn't work. Both the referrer and referee should get $10 once the ID gets verified and the card is chosen. Did people notice the second character was a zero and not a capital O in the referral code? Not sure why else it would fail…

    thanks op Got $10 using a referral code but took a long time for $10 to show up on app. does any one know where i can find out the fees? can virtual card be added to google pay and apple pay? transfered $1 out to my bank not sure on cost nor how long it will take.

        There is a customer service phone number shown on the virtual card, couldn't hurt to ring up and let them know they have a problem.

      Can transfer funds out to your bank.
      It gives you a fee free service (as far as we can see) with bank BSB & account number.

    This is useful to me beyond the signup bonus.
    $0 per month debit card is cheaper than the visa debit transaction account at my current credit union.
    It will be interesting to see what the fx rate on foreign transactions are like too.

    Edit: revoked my neg…contacted their fb support, swift response, someone from their team will add the $10 in "the next few hours". Will see how it goes…

    Couldn't seem to get the plastic card to order properly (pressed Okay and got no feedback, and it still shows Apply next to it) so I got the virtual card and got the $10.

    No push notification when I did a Visa transaction, which is a feature I really like in the Hay app (another no foreign currency fee prepaid Visa card). No fingerprint login on Android at least.

    It sucks that you can't copy and paste the BSB and account number. A transfer to the BSB and account number didn't go over the NPP.

    Hopefully they gain some more features over time, at the moment it doesn't have much to distinguish it if you're not someone who needs Chinese payments.

    My daughter tried but it wouldn't send a code via mobile SMS.
    So she created an account via email, no problem with code being emailed immediately.
    Then the mobile code came 2 hours later.

    So now she has 2 accounts, neither of which are usable as to verify for the virtual card you need both mobile and email that aren't already assigned to an account.

      I'm pretty sure it is like other bank accounts with debit cards - you have to do a direct transfer from another bank.
      I've never seen the ability for one debit card to receive funds from another debit card over the VISA network.
