Razer Viper 8kHz Ambidextrous Wired Gaming Mouse $89.89 Delivered @ MSY Online

80

Seems to be lowest price yet, $89.00 with free delivery on orders over $59.00 until July 31st, add 1% processing fee for CC or PayPal.

Comes out a few bucks cheaper than this recent deal which is still live.

Couldn't see an end date on the deal for the mouse itself but says "while stocks last" in any case.

Bought the wireless version a few weeks ago. Had to say, the mouse is great and the grip feels just right to me. And this is coming from someone using a G502 with full weight add on for the longest time. Definitely recommended if you want to play FPS games without hurting your wrist.

    • How's the overall shape and size compared with the G502?

dont know any technical terms but i will try my best:

For the weight, its not really that smaller than a g502, if you exclude the thumb holder part on the g502, the two occupies roughly the same surface area, the g502 is higher than the viper so when you hold the viper it may feel 'flat'. Since g502 is right handed only, the shape is different on both sides compared to the viper which curves inwards a bit on both side.

I guess my hand is on the smaller side, so when I use the g502, its more of a gripping motion where on the viper I kind of 'rest' my hand on it.

    Hz so much

  • Was technically cheaper during the April eBay sales, where there was a stacking coupon from Shopback to go with it. $85 without discounted gift cards, more still if you had them.

Tiny bit steep just for the sensor update, so I'm sure this will come in further.

    • Also has a lower click latency which was what made me go with this one over the original, whether or not I'll notice it who knows but this seemed like one of the fastest available.

      • We're in the zone where improvements will have an effect, but we often won't be able to notice them in game.

For mine, going to 4000Hz or above improves my mid-air tracking noticeably enough for me to see the improvement, and that's on a 144Hz TN.

I'd expect results to vary from game to game, due to both the pacing of the content, and the state of how the engine makes use of the extra polling.

I can also sense a difference just on Windows desktop, and while obviously none behave poorly there, it has an impact to the point where I feel the need to re-tune for the surface again.
