This my friends is a really amazing price!

  • ooo, is this the cheapest it has been? If someone can confirm, I'm definately getting it.

    • +4

      Cheapest I've ever seen it.

    • +5

      I think it's in response to: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63251

      • Yup, just a bit late for me lol. $ already gone to the us of a, LOLS. Like what took so long ? 12 days a bit too late..

      • Considering this deal would include GST as well, it is a very good price!

        • and it includes local Warranty & Support :-)

  • +5

This will go perfect with Bus Simulator 2012.

    • +2

I don't know about you but I'll be thrashing this around in Delivery & Garbage truck simulator 2012.

      • +2

Well. I'll go for Blonde in Ute - Reverse Parking Simulator 2012

        • +2

You are aware that this game is banned in Oz. The game's title is a euphemism.

  • +4

if only it worked on forza4

    • I remember seeing somewhere you can get an adapter device… translates all commands into MS wheel commands or something. Annoying hundred bucks or so to add to the cost though…

  • thats true but its the best thing that happened to gt5

  • +2

    I want this deal back!!!

If I was well off I would buy it in a split second.

  • Whoa. Been keeping an eye on this wheel for a year or two. Never seen it this cheap.

  • now, we need a deal for g27 holder!!

  • I miss the old logitechshop sales… they used to have huge sales on most of their products every couple of weeks :(

    • +9

      lets just say keep watching………..

      • Don't keep me watching too long, I get square eyes!, I need a new mouse (wireless/bluetooth preferably). Also a mac compatible webcam (c615 or c1020 (?))Office works have the 905 and 605 (I think) for less than half price currently (905 $25.00) and 605 for 29.??. The 615 for 25-30.00 would be good !… Pretty please!

  • +3

You guys need to stop dropping your price! I've been trying to sell one but have been getting offers that keep getting lower and lower… :(

    • +7

      I'll give you fifty bucks.

    • +1

I know how you feel, I bought a Citroen C4 Picasso for 42K (with a couple of extras), 3 to 6 months later 36,9_ _ or so drive away or around 39K with the extras I got, bye bye 3 hard earned.

      • +19

Your fault for paying 42k for a crappy car.

        • +11

also you're in for a shock come 3yrs down the line when you want to sell it… it'll make the $3k lost seem like chump change…

residuals on french cars is… shocking to say the least

        • -3

Do you have one? how do you know? FYI voted best people mover in Europe, highest owner satisfaction after three years of ownership (done after 3 years to deal with the honeymoon period) on independent survey (close second was Porsche- no comparison of course, but gives an indication), I am very happy with car, not happy wiith the price drop, which was the point of my comment. These were some of the reasons I bought it.

On the trade in price/residual, I went from A Renault Laguna to the C4, so I am well learned on that. Let's not kid our selves, No car has a 'good' residual value. unless we are talking True Classics. Beemer 60k new, after 3 years 30k (if lucky). Renault 40k after 3 still around 25K… you do the math. I go for overall 'best' value for money at time of purchase. Not badge. Car is a lose lose situation… ALWAYS!

        • +1

Why do you keep buying french crap? Renault… then a Citroen. There ARE other better brands you know?

        • the important thing you mentioned there is that it was voted best people mover IN EUROPE (by europeans)..in australia you'll be lucky to get 10 k for this car in a few years time, if you're happy with the car then sure who cares what brand it is, but in Aus french cars are not very popular on the second hand market. the 3k drop in retail price means nothing compared to the actual drop in price if you wanted to trade/sell it now. So don't stress about it, just make sure you drive that thing until its ready to fall apart to get the most out of it.

  • If only I played racing sims more often.

Can anyone point me to a "casual racing wheel" that's around $100ish, fit for say NFS games and stuff like that?

    • Driving force (gt) can often be had for 80-90. Some say the wheel is better, I find its down to preference. Doesn't have a clutch or a h-shifter, only a sequential.

  • Noticed from the picture that the gear stick is on the right, can it be adjusted to be put on the left? I think a friend had this steering wheel and it was on the left but I'm not sure if it was the same model.

    • +1

Yes the G27 gear shift I'd not fixed to the wheel

  • +ve from me… Not going to get one, but more reps/retail/online people need to respond to the international market.
This is a good result for all, seller sells, buyers buy… Win win…

  • Also on EBay for the same price delivered from Logitech Shop (which is Fluidtek in Sydney I believe)
    Item number: 130650603015

Brought a MX5500 Keyboard through them via EBay recently. Good Price and service.

This is a good price although the RRP is questionable. Even Fluidtek has it as a normal price for much less than RRP

    cheers

    • I don't think you can call an RRP questionable. It may not be a true reflection of what the regular retail prices are, but that doesn't change the RRP that Logitech sets.

      • RRP is questionable when it's US$299 and AU$499

        • -1

Take shipping and local warranties into consideration. It's quite a hefty box.

        • Logitech aren't the only company that engages in pricing discrimination across countries. I'm not defending Logitech's RRP, I'm defending LTS reporting the RRP as the manufacturer sets it.

This thing is awesome. I used one once and it was amazing. The only thing is you need to rest the foot pedals against something, or they slide along the floor as you push the accelerator.

    • @ Davo111 under the pedal box is a switch that brings down some plastic spikes, they grip the carpet to avoid that happening. Although if you are getting a G27 a racing cockpit should come with it :D

  • +3

Damn I don't even like racing games that much but was still tempted to buy this >.<

  • +1

@deadfishies The gearchange can go either side but i always use the Paddles on the steering wheel.
Santa paid $299 for mine at the last big Logitech sale. $245 delivered is outstanding.

  • +1

I want to neg this because I'm jealous Logitech doesn't make any steering wheel for XBOX 360…

    • sorry… :-(

  • I just went to JB and they price matched it. So cool I totally thought the would have gone "nope". I could tell they weren't happy they kept on trying to get me to by the extended warranty so they could make some money out of it. I did feel bad so I bought a game too.

  • +3

The wheel will only be as good as the mount.
I had the wheel for a year and just bolted it onto a table whenever i use it. Didn't use it much during that year.
Then i bought a Nextlevel GTpro cockpit and now i play with it a couple times of week.

Anyone who buys the G27 should consider a cockpit into the price because it makes it dramatically more enjoyable.

    • That's a nice cockpit but way out of my league/space/price range.

I am looking at the Rennsport Wheel Stand, found one on staticice for $163+$12 delivery. Is this worth buying? Will the bar that holds the wheel cause and problems? I think it will cuase problems with using the peddles

      • I bought a 3 month old Citroen for a cockpit as it was cheaper ;)

    • 100% agree! Having a cockpit is not only more comfortable but depending on the unit you can then screw the wheel/shifter/pedals onto the cockpit itself and the whole thing is solid/stable. There are cockpits for $150-$500 which isn't too much money..play around with a cheap one first and go from there.

  • AWESOME PRICE, THANKS

  • any new g27 successor coming out?

    • We can't speculate on future product releases unfortunately. Even if there were, it probably wouldn't be this price anyway.

  • Just received my G27. It looks great… but afraid playing a racing game on the PC just doesn't feel the same as driving a real car. No thrill from the G-forces when speeding in real life, or bumps to the legs and back. I am also angry that most games only have power steering (i.e. 180 degree steering), which makes the G27 feel like an extended joystick than a real steering wheel!

  • Got mine today, superfast shipping!
