  If you can hold out for 1 month wait for the iPad 3. When it is announced iPad 2 will be discounted by at least $100 off current rrp.

      7 March is the scheduled release date of the iPad 3. That's when Apple is excepted to announce it, and should be available universally in the USA, UK, Australia, and a few other countries from that same day.

        7 March is the rumoured announcement date. The release date would historically be several weeks after that. I haven't seen too many (or any) rumours that think it will release the same time it is announced.

    Reckon you're right. To make way for the new model, shops will want to get rid of the "old" version fairly quickly.

    Still, that's $100 off the rrp above, at least for the 16GB WiFi+3G model. More for the 32GB models. Not too bad…

  I don't see this as a deal at all. $559 is RRP and they are artificially bumping the price to include the value of the case and cable, both of which are listed as "bonus" items on the site which implies free to me.

  This is aside from the fact of the many rumours of an imminent new model.

  True, there is a mark-up on the price with the case and the screen protector, but there's still a saving of some money on the iPad 2 itself - have a look at the prices above, and compare them with Apple's retail price on its website: http://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad/….

  As the title of the this listing states, to purchase a 16GB WiFi+3G from Apple is $729. This deal lists it for $629 (plus a leather case and protector screen, but if you couldn't care less for the extra stuff, then) that's A SAVING of $100 (more for the 32GB WiFi+3G model).

  And indeed, it's pretty much a certainty that Apple will announce and release the iPad 3 next month. But for some the iPad 2 might be enough, hence the listing of this deal…
