Mine is 10% back up to $10

    • same

    • I actually had this offer showing on my cards back on July 16 around 2:45 a.m., but it wouldn't save to my card. Only got this one posted by the OP.

    • Ditto

      Mine 10 off 65

      • same here

Um maybe because not every Ampol has the same price? From state to state and even within 15 min drive from one store to another. Did that cross your mind? maybe not cause Sheep usually don't think.

          • @Ughhh:

Um maybe because not every Ampol has the same price?

Good chance that most have put up the price together with Shell….

Anyway, pretty much assured you can save more than 10% by looking around at independents…

            cause Sheep usually don't think.

            That was my point…

            • @jv: If you have NRMA blue app, you can get further cents off per litre. This puts my local either at the same or below other prices at a low a dollar thirties.

There are websites that track and show prices on a map, so thanks, but your assurance is unnecessary.

              You were not thinking.

I don't think that is true.
I seems to only work if you are an NRMA member…

Don't need to buy petrol if I drive max 10km every week for my essential shopping …

if I drive max 10km every week for my essential shopping

Why aren't you staying at home and getting it delivered to end lockdown sooner??

      • +6

Because it takes a week to get your groceries delivered due to high demand?

        • -5

          So order a week ahead…

          • +9

@jv: Knew you were going to say that. You've become predicable, JV.

            • @kerfuffle: If people keep moving around, the lockdown will be for months…

              • +11

@jv: Well look at that: essential shopping is one of the main reasons why you can leave your house. Furthermore, not everyone can meet the minimum delivery requirement of $50.

Trolling effort: 0/10. Try harder next time.

Well look at that: essential shopping is one of the main reasons why you can leave your house.

It also helps spread the virus and extend the lockdown.

      That’s ok
Save the amazon gifts cards and grocery ones for me

  • Mine is 10% back - up to $10 also. I registered my primary essentials card and when I checked the offers for my supplementary card it said it was already saved to card so it may only one per primary/supplementary card for essentials.

  • Nothing on mine ATM. Although I just signed up for AMEX this month and completed my initial woolies offering.

  • +3

Got it on mine. Am I right in assuming I can purchase a gift card and still get the statement, as their payment terminal won't know the difference?

FYI terms on mine say it excludes Caltex Woolworths locations:

    Offer Terms

    • Offer valid in-store at Ampol & Caltex locations where American Express is accepted. Prior to refueling your vehicle, you must ensure that the location accepts American Express.
    • Excludes Caltex Woolworths locations.
    • Excludes purchases made with third party delivery or take away services.
    • Offer is limited to one credit per Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.
    • Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly with your Card to which the offer is saved, in-person at Ampol & Caltex locations where American Express is accepted. Offer valid at Australian locations only. Excludes online purchases.
    • Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor.
    • Credit is not redeemable for cash or other payment form.
    • Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date.
    • Credit will not be applied to your Card Account if your Card has been suspended or cancelled.
    • Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.
    • Am I right in assuming I can purchase a gift card and still get the statement, as their payment terminal won't know the difference?

I'd say so. $65 is such an odd amount; at least $70 you can grab a $50 and a $20

      • +1

        $50 gift card
        $15 fuel

        Problem solved.

        • I drive once a week due to lockdown; haven't needed to buy petrol in 20 days now as I've driven max 50km since I last filled up 20 days ago …

    • (Just to clarify, I got spend $65 and get $10 back at Ampol on a Velocity Escape card)

    • Ditto, 10% off, Excludes Worthless. 10% off can easily be beaten by other fuel suppliers in my area.

  • Cheers, was just about to cancel my card before the next annual fee. Combined with nrma discount made it a worthy saving.

  • nothing on my both discovery and explorer card

  • nothing on my qantas card

  • Any manual link?

    • Nope. Would have to be in your offers section of the app / website.

  • Both of mine got 65 -10, thanks.

  • Got offer in the early morning “Spend $65 or more, get $10 back.” Already used it on fuel.

  • +1

I wonder if there are any Ampol/Caltex that do Opal recharges?
Might come in handy for 2022 when we finally get back to using public transport…

    • like to see an optimist….. more like 2025

  • $65/10

  • Nothing on my Amex platinum charge. Was formerly using Woolworths through it. Obviously penalised for doing so. Got Ampol offer though - no good when you have an EV.

    • No woolworths too, but I think OP means Woolworths Caltex, which does not apply to my offer which is Ampol only.
Corret me if you have a different offer.

      • That's the way that I read it too. My offer clearly "Excludes Caltex Woolworths locations"

  • I got nothing!!! Nothing again!!!

  • Received offer on Velocity Amex. But not Qantas

  • Sugar ! I did not have it !

  • +1

    i got spend $65, get $10 back

  • $65/$10 - Platinum charge and Reeerve cc

  • +3

Bought Amazon gift cards at AMPOL. Portal is showing offer redeemed, fingers crossed $10 will come through.

    • +4

      Credit received!

  • Nil, nada, nothing on my Amex dj’s platinum card and supplementary cards. Fed up with American Express

  • +1

Did anyone buy Ampol Gift Cards? My local Ampol said that they don't sell them!
Just searching again on the Net I see that there is "Ampol Cash". Maybe those are the exact words that I should have used to the operator.

    • My local had been out of stock since the last Amex offers. They haven’t been given new stock for a few months now.

  • Did anyone use their AMEX via GooglePay NFC with this successfully? Mine hasn't marked itself as redeemed. Have not encountered issues with it before in the past. Has AMEX made changes requiring physical cards for purchases to be valid?

    • google pay is OK, I received 3 times through google pay.

      • Thanks for letting me know. It must be my local Ampol then. None of my transactions triggered redemption. They did show up as participating locations. shrug

Anyway, have contacted Amex and they credited manually.
