errr take out your name LONG JOHN.

      • +1

Its a fake name i just put in there to remove my real name.

        • +10

          Nice try, LONG JOHN.

    • Got the same thing.

      Hopefully comes soon!

  • If using on PC, is there any game or program for simulation , that can be used to learn driving for new drivers?

    • +1

Try out Live For Speed - It's a racing game, but it's free and has a half decent physics engine that emulates real cars.

Apparently there's "City Driving Simulator" - which is more of a traditional driving simulator with traffic, lights etc. Haven't played it, but seen some clips on Youtube.

      • thanks

  • :(
asked for discount during christmas and everyone said "dream on" at 79 price…..
end up i bought logitech driving force wireless ……

  • On PC: Eyefinity + steering wheel = Gold.

  • Does it come with the pedal ? Thanks!

    • +3

      just the accelerator. no brakes.

      • Guess you'll just have to crash to stop then!

      • +1

various video reports shows it comes with a brake and accel pedal box.

Update on mine, will get it today

22 Feb 2012 07:11 Newcastle Onboard with courier driver for delivery

Not bad at all given i ordered it so late in the day.

        • It has a brake and accelerator as pedals. The G27 has clutch, brake and accelerator pedals as well as separated proper gearbox.

Either they've confused this device on offer with some other model, or an hilarious gag is going over my head (apologies if it's the latter).

      • -1

Think you mean no clutch. Has brakes.

        For some pictures:

        http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-PlayStation-Driving-Force-Rac…

        • Is a clutch important? As, does the enjoyment get hindered due to not having one? Tossing up between this and G27.

Does anyone recommend a stand/chair for this? Anywhere I can buy one online?

        • Generally i always use the shifter pedals behind the wheel and only use clutch + gearbox when mucking around.

Clutch on this thing is no way near the same sensation as you would get in a real car and feels unnatural.

        • I'll defer to PlayerOne's experience justmike. Sorry i've only owned/played around with this model, so no experience of one with a clutch. Have had a lot of fun with this clutchless one, though, for whatever that's worth.

      • Is this the Twilight Zone? It has two pedals - an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal. It has no clutch pedal. These are facts. I own the thing, purchased from the very same store and the very same link not six months ago.

        Here, have a video.

  • Just bought one.

Go great with the PS3 & PC

    Thanks :D

No love for Xbox users :(.

Great deal, but damn…. I wish this worked for the 360 too.

  • +2

When it comes to ease of checkout and delivery speed Logitech is possibly the best company I've dealt with.

    • +1

Agreed. I once placed an order at 5:30pm on one day and it arrived at my workplace 10:30am the next day. They make all other online stores look like amateur hour.

  • hey all - what is everyone mounting their wheel on?

  • how do you guys all use this ? on a simulator setup or just on the desk?

    • I'm using on my desk with my PC. It would hard to use it in a lounge-type setup on a PS3.

Great deal, unbelievable delivery times and with Paypal, it's to easy.

      • Desk with PC here. I am however finding car games infuriating and I think I am better off with sticking to head shots. I figured for $79 it was worth me trying out a wheel.

  • Wow I cant believe the deal first of all. What a price! and Wow how fast was the shipping 28 hours!! First Class (unfortunately I wasnt home to get the parcel, will have to wait till tomorrow pick up form post office) :-)

  • Wow! Got shipping confirmation about 90 mins after purchase and it arrived the next day. Awesome!

Only got to use it tonight though and I did not get any instructions in my box though, so I have no idea what some of the buttons do. Off to Google now…

  • ordered one an arrived the next day at my office, excellent services.

Opened the box, and found the body plasticky, but the Wheel itself feels sturdy and good.

    Good bargain this one !!

  • Got mine and its brilliant. Thanks

    Out of stock now though.

  • is any more stock coming soon?

    • I doubt for this price.

      • I doubt for this price.

        Price will be even cheaper.
