    black 1litre 2 pack.

    ?? Can’t find this

  • Search 'Sodastream' - Pepsi branded 2 pack were $11 theres a 3 pack white floral for $12

    • Thanks. For some reason I thought it was a flavour!

      • +1

All good, I realised they were meaning bottles as I needed some new ones so searched seperately.

Great price on the pepsi max at half price it may as well be a 2 pack! :)

        • Do you have a link please? I can't find it on Harvey's website.

          • @rokufan: Not sure what you're referencing - The 'goto deal' button above gets you to the flavours.

And as I mentioned if you change the search to just 'Sodastream' the following is shown on their website -
            https://www.harveynorman.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=soda…

            • @BillyStm: I'm interested in the 2 and 3-packs you mentioned. They are not listed in your link.

              • @rokufan: It was referring to the bottles/containers for the drink to be stored in. Initially the poster did not mention the 2 pack was for bottles, I mention in the same comments that there are alternate bottle options also on sale.

There are no multi packs other than the taster option of the smaller sizes for the flavours themselves.

  • Does anywhere in Australia sell the Dr Pepper version? Dr Pete i think it is

  • Do the Pepsi soda stream syrups actually taste like Pepsi, or do they take more like a knockoff cola brand?

    • I'm a Pepsi Max drinker and feel it's a very close match. It very much depends on how much syrup you're putting in. You'll have to tweak it to personal taste but on the whole I'd recommend it.

    • I've only tried the original Pepsi flavor so can't comment on the others but in my opinion it doesn't - more like home brand Cola

    • +1

Pepsi max does, 90% the same - doesn't Pepsi own sodastream?

I haven't bothered with any other flavours just sparkling water usually.

      • +1

        I thought SodaStream was Israeli?

    • Pepsi yes. Mountain Dew doesn't taste remotely the same

    • +2

Normal Pepsi and 7-up are closer than any other syrup I've had*, but won't taste exact as it's a different formula with a mix of artificial sweetener and real sugar. IMHO it's better than the normal Sodastream generic cola/lemonade flavours they (used to?) have.

      Avoid the Dew, it's rubbish.

*Except for Dr Pete. Fond memories of Dr Pete. RIP Dr Pete in Oz.

    • The Pepsi one is basically the old Cola with a new logo. Such an artificial syrup taste I don't know how anyone could stomach it.

    • +1

My partner and I have found that if you use filtered water (just a filter jug from the fridge) it is incredibly close to the original. Though we have only been using the Pepsi Max syrup so can't comment on the other flavours.

  • +2

My experience is they don't take like the original.

The new Solo, Sunkist and Lemonade that Woolies sell are much better and take like the original, but are ridiculously expensive.

  • +2

Would anyone price match these? Gerry has enough taxpayer money for me to support him any further.

  • Thought it was shampoo just looking at the thumbnail.

  • I never see the point of soda stream. Its more expensive, taste different than original soft drink. Expecialy Pepsi and coke frequently have 50% off.

    • +2

It's more convenient, and more environmentally friendly.
We mostly drink soda water and occasionally like a soft drink, so the setup takes up so much less space.
The taste of these Pepsi ones is pretty much spot on, too.

      • Whats the Sugar content like? Or are all flavours sugar free?

        • +1

No, not all flavours are sugar free but there is a great selection of sugar free ones.

      • Also, how does the gas work? They say you can swap the cylinders at any retailer. Is that free? Do they need to be bought from the same retailer originally?

        • +1

Gas - you swap the bottle at Coles, Woolies, servos (like Coles Express), Kmart, a few other places.
It's usually around $20 as far as I can recall. They are cylinders with 400g of CO2.

However the hardcore Sodastreamers (like me) have bought a bigger (2.6kg or 6kg) cylinders of CO2 and an adapter hose. These then cost $10 a KG to refill (vs the $50 a kg of the sodastream cylinders).

          • @theguyrules: Thanks for so much info. Im seriously thinking of getting one from their website. Out of the machines, I seem to like the Spirit one touch model. But the differences aren't too much except for the Jet model.

            • +1

@HumbleCat: No problem! If you order from them directly, check this deal out https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/640460
and the first comment has discount codes.

I'd personally just get the non-hydration pack of the Spirit and get more bottles. The 500ml bottles that come with the hydration pack seem not very useful.

Or get the bottles from this deal, if they're available in store. They are the cheapest around.

    • +4

Agree, sodastream is a lot less wasteful and convenient, screw lugging around 10x 1.25L bottles of fizzy pop around.
The sparkling water is also healthier than the store bought stuff with sodium etc, prob cheaper too.

      • I have never really tried sparkling water. Is there a difference between brands? Or can I just get the homebrand one?

        • +1

Just try the cheapest soda water, nice for something different

  • All are those delivered are past the before date on the lid
