Don't need tonnes of spices to cover up bad quality meat

      • nah mate, the Asian ones actually use better cuts. biltong is full of tendons. Asians actually rarely have tendons.

Good Afternoon everyone! Peter from 4 Hunters here.

Firstly, thank you for the amount of support shown today. We werent aware that our advertisement had been placed here, but we are genuinely glad that it did! We see there has been a bit back and forward about our product, please let me clarify. We are monitoring orders, so that we don't run out of product. We would not want anyone to be disappointed, or wait too long for their order. Please be patient, as we weren't expecting this influx of orders, but we have packed majority of orders today already, and they will be sent out soon, if not, by tomorrow.

We have seen a few comments about our nutritional information, our apologies as it's not on our website (we will remedy this soon), but I will attach both biltong and dry wors information with this post.

Our prices are so great because we are manufacturers, and our unit is in Redlands, QLD. Thank you for those that took the time to look at our facebook page and online reviews. we have 5 star ratings on both, as we provide great quality products.

We are a family owned and operated business and appreciate the support shown, especially during these tough times.

please dont let the orders be able to be made for hours after its been out of stock causing terrible logistics issues like that other jerky company deal

      • +3

I am personally watching stock levels , that is why we sold out a hour ago . I have rechecked and updated our website so there are no issues

        Plenty stock for now

    • Thanks Pete!

Can you pop over to the Buy Assie Now jerky ****storm thread and maybe give them a few pointers about how to communicate with your customers.

If I wasnt tied up with that order, id gladly bite.

      Next time.

      • Hi yuisakas

How can I send you a message , it says you don't except messages ?

        • now should be fine to message,ta

    • Do the 1kg packs come in 1 large bag or 10 100g packs? How long can they be stored for after opening?

      • They come in 1 Kg sealed bags with a zip lock they have 1 year shelf life and once open they should be consumed with 4 days ( to be fair it never last that long )

    • You taking the time to write this and post in different threads convinced me to make a purchase. Hope to taste your biltong soon!

  • +1

Drats I purchased 2kg from somewhere else not long ago and don't have the freezer space to buy up on this deal. Hope they can repeat this deal again soon (after everyone eats down their BuyAussieNow stock when they actually receive it)! Would love to give these guys some support and try some of their product.

    • +1

Well the thing is it's not a deal, it's just that the prices are always low. If you look at the 4 Hunters Facebook page you'll see that the prices stay as advertised

      • Thanks. Then it’s great pricing but technically not a deal as it’s just everyday pricing. I’ll still be giving it a go once i finish my current batch.

  • +1

Does anyone know how long they last once the bag is opened? Never bought in bulk before and wondering if I should freeze a portion once opened?

    • They come in 1 Kg sealed bags with a zip lock they have 1 year shelf life and once open they should be consumed with 4 days ( to be fair it never last that long )

      • +1

Can you offer 1 kg in multiple bags? It is too much to eat 1kg in four days and freezing is hassle I would like to avoid. If you offered 1kg in 200g satchels for the same price that would be amazing.

        • Well, they sell smaller bags… Just open the big one up - split the contents into multiple freezer bags, put them all back into the big bag, freeze them, take the smaller bags out as needed.

        • Hi Mistredo

We take everything our customers say onboard .And in our next production meeting we will discuss this.

But as stated mickeyjuiceman this is done in tis way to keep our pricing down so we can pass it on to you.

But hey stay tuned for next week

    • Keep it in the fridge between snacking sessions..

    ordered a few 1kg packs..

thx OP & @PeterHunter123 for communicating with the OzB community!

No worries , quality and customers is what makes us tick.

      Hope you enjoy your order

  • Also ordered a few 1kg packs, but jumped on the bandwagon late and missed out on the original flavoured biltong 😑. Any rough time frame for the sold out items returning to the storefront?
Thanks for the up-to-date communications and inventory updates!

  • The owner actually contacted me (apparently he contacted a few people randomly) to let me know my order had been packed and due out for delivery. Great guy and it’s a family business. If the product is enjoyable, he invited me(us) to support their Facebook page with a ‘like’.

We thank everyone for there support we have now SOLD OUT.

4 Hunters will not continue to keep selling if our stock is at zero.

Customers are everything to us and so is Quality .

We will have some more stock soon and will advise as soon as up and ready.

TO THOSE WHO ORDERED…. LEGENDS …….ENJOY

    • Looking forward to trying when you're restocked!

  • Can you add some stokkies to your website too in future?

  • Hi All,

Quick stock update, 12x 1kg of our extremely popular Chilli Garlic bags have been added.

Also check out our stokkies/jerky as we have updated these as well.

We'll advise on here when we have sold out.

Thank you all again for your phenomenal support!

    Cheers Legends!

    • Wanted to grab a kilo of chilli garlic, kilo of original biltong, and 2 kg of dry wors.

To make the $10 postage worthwhile.

Only the chilli garlic available unfortunately

      • As soon as we fully restocked I will advice , just had some stock left over . Didn't plan for the above but can assure that the dryers are full.

        • Still wanting a kilo of garlic chilli, kilo of original, 2kg drywors and now I'm thinking another kilo of maybe the Bushman's, or…your recommendation??

          Still out of stock though

    • Will be great if you can add a size between 200g and 1kg for the stokkies? I normally buy 500g but even 750g would be OK.

      • +2

Not a bad Idea , will look at that . If we make the changes soon . I will let you know

    • My Chilly Garlic bags arrived today, it tastes good, but I'd wish it was sliced in larger pieces. Nevertheless, I will look forward if you will ever post a deal here in the future

      • Hi potatophish9

Im Glad you enjoyed , sorry about the thickness as our slicing machine is set to a maximum thickness. Something we can look into in the future.

As for a deal stay tuned

        • Hi Peter,
First up, thanks for being active in this thread.
Secondly, I've got 3kgs coming, is there a preferred method for freezing once the zip lock has been opened? Or would you recommend not freezing?

          • @Gurras: Hi Gurras

I would recommend not opening all three at once as that would be a lot of protein to consume (but easily done in my household). In saying that there are no rules whether or not to freeze. If you do freeze eat first and freeze the rest in a freezer bag of some sort and in portions you want so you not refreezing . Once opened we recommend consuming within 3 days but if stored correctly you will get much lounger as long as it is stored correctly. Not in a air tight container. Get a brown bag keep in the fridge or cool cupboard and should be all good.

            Enjoy and stay tuned .

  • ahhh missed out the this deal
