I would much prefer USB 3.0 especially when it's the same price.
It doesn't mention if it's compatible with Android or Nintendo Switch so it most likely isn't.

Yes much easier to return if purchased via Amazon. However I found AliExpress pretty good with faulty or D.O.A low value items. Have always been refunded without having to return the item.

been meaning to try one with my Sony android tv, as the inbuilt ethernet adapter performs poorly.

You read my mind, I was actually looking into this the other day but didn't continue searching.
For $9 can't go wrong.
I did have some issues with AE orders in the past, but in the end AE stepped in to resolve and refund.
I did stop using AE with cashback though. (Deals with upfront discount like this one are better.)
FYI, State field validation error. Signed up a new user, my postal address state entered during checkout kept returning a validation error, however when I added my postal address as a default on my account preferences that worked.

They will promise to deliver within 5-12 working days and will give you a AusPost tracking id without sending the item to AusPost
Tracking id will show you the item is in transit but in fact it will come from China which can take several days/months to deliver

** couldn't get it to work with my Sony TV. Sony TV's WiFi can almost max out my internet connection speed anyway at ~220 Mbps.
Might see if it can work with my Chromebook later.
