I wasn't going to make a new post since the old one for $125 is less than a month old but the price has crashed through the $100 barrier. A great price for the keyboard.

Razer Green Switches. Very tactile and clicky.
Media controls

Price has fallen again from $99.47 to $99.29

Edit. Price has gone up to $108. Still a good deal.

Edit 2. ~$100.

  • Is this one similar with black widow elite? Thanks

    • Yes, this is like the elite model but not the Pro which is wireless.

      • The V3 and Elite are different I'm pretty sure.

Elite has USB and audio jack passthrough, an ostensibly more comfy wrist rest, and a different set of media controls apparently.

      • -1

you don't want wireless. you want a wired mouse and keyboard for maximum performance.

        • Good modern wireless mice have the same or better latency as a good wired mice. There is a reason many esports professionals use the Logitech G Pro.

            • +5

@Hugh G Rection: I'd say on the contrary you have no idea what you're talking about judging by your other comments on this deal. I'd take the recommendations of esports professionals and reviewers over the advice of an incredibly rude ozbargainer any day of the week.

For someone who claimed that comment to be "so rude" when it was directed at you, you sure have no problem directing it at other people, you have been blocked; and I'm sure my experience on this site will improve massively by not having to see your comments in the future.

            • @Hugh G Rection: Literally more than half of Valorant pros use a wireless mouse… If a pro can depend on a wireless mouse, I doubt you can make a better argument against it, but go on, tell me what you've learnt from your readings.

Good deal (e.g. $239 at JB). I want non clicky orange - it doesn't seem they make an orange version of this model though.

    • I want non clicky too! If you find good deals let me know please

      • +1

Yellow is linear, Orange is tactile but not clicky.

      • +16

You sir, have zero idea about different key switches in mechanical keyboards and their use cases. I’d stay quiet in the future until you do more reading.

          • -1

@Hugh G Rection: Brings Sex right into it for no reason at all…

            • @RDY4WR: yes, he called me sir. why would i not bring sex into it? logic escapes you?

              • @Hugh G Rection: Obviously unintentional mate, get over yourself. Not everything is an attack on your gender which is what you read it as. You started kicking off at the bloke (or whatever Sex he wants to be) about being a superior race and gender and looking down on you when he commented on your complete lack of knowledge.
Get that chip off your shoulder and better yourself!

      • +4

Like the feel of mechanical, but non clicky because I don't want to wake the family up.

        • -5

it's not that loud, are you playing in there beds? lol

      • I guess the ironic thing is that the design of Razer Green switches are objectively bad, or at least, not the best thing in the world, for any games that requires really rapid presses of the keys like rhythm games. It has what they call hysteresis, the click jacket has to be released first before the next press for the press to register.
So you cannot tease the key for multiple presses.

It's a feature for say typists, because it prevents unintentional double presses, which was what Cherry originally designed it for.

Regardless, clicky, tactile and linear switches are more of preferences than anything probably imo. I doubt I'd be able to beat someone who plays rhythm games for fun, even with the best keyboard in the world.

    • Yep, I was looking for the same. Orange switch, but they removed the choice from that. Now just Green or Yellow.

  • Thanks OP just bought 1. Been waiting for something decent for a few months now. Appreciate it x

  • I hope the arm rest of this can be purchased separately. the leather on mine is torn apart because of me wearing a watch.

  • Thanks OP, bought 1…need a keyboard for new build…solid savings!

  • Anyone know if this works with old Synapse, or just Synapse 3?

  • thought this was the wireless version…

Still a good deal for one of razer keyboards.

  • Thought this was quiet, but I’m guessing ‘clicky’ means noisy?

Not sure why that have a picture of a yellow one on the page.

    • Yes, 'clicky' switches are the most noisy. Tactiles are quieter but can still be quite loud. Linears are the quietest.

    • A lot of mechanical keyboards are noisy, because there are noise from the switch hitting the bottom of the keyboard and hitting the top of the switch as it returns.
These would be present in all types of switches, except "silent" switches.

Adding O-ring for example, stops the keyboard switch from hitting the bottom to reduce the noise (however does not stop the noise from return)
"Silent" switches have sillicon dampeners inside that reduces the noise.

They could add bit of mushy-ness to the typing (silent switches, less so I found, though ymmv since there are many o-rings out there and many silent switches out there).

You could reduce how hard you type and that would show changes in sound level. One of the best thing about mechanical keyboards is that all of them do not need to be completely pressed to register a key (actuation point is when the key press is registered and bottom out is when it is completely pressed), unlike a lot of rubber dome membrane keyboards.

Also there are noises from stabilisers as well (which are present in long keys), such as metal wire rattling.

  • If only this new version comes with the side roller wheel for volume like elite. I dont dig the new volume wheel

    • the blackwidow v3 pro is like the elite with wireless tech

  • Just bought one. Now the only thing I am missing is a GPU and the RIG will be complete.

  • I'm using BlackWidow 2014 and would like to upgrade to RGB keyboard.
I missed this insane deal: Razer BlackWidow V3 TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Green Switch) $49 Delivered @ Mwave
Not sure if I should get this one or just keep waiting.

    • +1

I doubt there will be such a good deal anytime soon. It also depends if you prefer TKL or not.

  • $98.95, should I keep waiting?

    • On the 3/08 it was $120.

It disappeared for a few hours at $110.

      Now, it's the 7/08 and it's at $99.

I can only show you the door, you have to go through it.

      • Thanks OP, pull the trigger already at $98.84 :-)

  • How does this compare to logitech G815 mechanical keyboard?

  • Would this be recommended for everyday office use as well? Thinking of using it for computer work when not gaming

    • +2

It's going to be loud AF in an office environment

      • WFH off course

        • I bought an MX Keys for WFH. My Razer Blackwidow with green switches was way too loud when on teams calls etc.

  • Hmm how would this compare to my Logitech G19?

I love my G19 but recently the USB ports stopped working on it (normally had my wired mouse running off it). Now it says it doesn’t have enough power to run the USB ports :(

    • It doesn't have USB ports that seem important to you.

  • +2

I came across the Black Widow Elite Green Switch for $80.40 at officeworks a few days ago if anyone interested in hunting around. Less then 10 available so couldn't post a deal. https://imgur.com/a/oNG3L30
