  • But do they have that awesome diesel smell that some do.. I love that !

My used underpants has better specs

  • Can someone tell me if I should get these ($2 each) or the AMD Masks ($2.32 each) or the respaguards for $0.80 each???

    • AMD Masks if you have an average sized face. Anything on the large end and the mask won't stay in place.

Bunnings has these at the checkout pack of 4 for $2.00.

"NOT effective in preventing general public from catching Coronavirus" - US Surgeon General, Feb 29, 2020

    • -3

You can't honestly trust an American with regards health can you?

    • +2

Out of context and compete BS.

The same guy in July advised people to be proactive in helping to prevent COVID-19 viral spread by "wearing a face covering when you go out, washing your hands, trying to watch your distance around other people."

He made a bad call in feb 2020 and updated his opinion after more evidence on the virus and how it spreads was gained.

You’d be a special case to believe that masks, in some way, don’t help in reducing the spread of a virus where droplet transmission is a major component.

TGA registered should not be a selling point. It means nothing other than submitting a form.

If I recall this seller correctly, the service was great when I bought masks last year during the shortage but the actual masks were no better than wrapping some toilet paper on your face.

    • +2

So your the one with all the toilet paper

      • I thought that's why everyone was hoarding toilet paper…?

        • think that’s another topic why people are hoarding toilet papers? Lol 😂

TGA will do a post market assessment by testing the samples in their labs to make sure that the certifications and claims are valid. If the TGA finds out the claims are fraudulent, they will remove the product from ARTG listing. We have provided them around 200 samples and they tested our products, if we are still on the ARTG list that means that we have cleared their lab test.

    • -1

Well then provide the lab report, and proof that they have actually lab tested the products, rather than it being in some backlog.

  • +6

N95 masks needs to be fitted correctly to achieve the filtration claimed. If not fitted correctly, might as well wear a surgical mask.

  • You are absolutely right.

    • So how do you fit a N95 that only has elastic ear loops and not ties like proper N95's?

So this is just free advertising?

  • Considering they are $2 each, are they made in Australia?

    • +1

      from India… New Dehli..
      ohoh spaghettio

  • -4

What the public are actually unaware of is surgical masks were only designed to prevent litigation because the patient could not identify the surgeon.

    • No, that's why they invented general anaesthetic. The masks are because they're all into EDM. Once you're under the rave starts!

  • +3

If these are N95s, what’s the NIOSH approval number? As far as I know, NIOSH do not permit this kind of vertical fold earloop design due to inadequate fit.

  • +2

Assuming your "N95" designation refers to the American NIOSH-Approved N95 rating, is there an actual picture of the front of these masks? The images from your shop is missing some things that real N95 masks must have, namely a NIOSH approval number.

For those reading: A guide from the CDC on spotting fake N95 masks

Also, personally I have never seen real N95 masks having ear loops instead of headbands (KN95s do, but you specifically mentioned "N95").

    • +2

That's because as a general rule NIOSH won't approve ear loops for N95s. These aren't N95s and it is misleading to call them as such, and if the seller is willing to bend the rules on this, I wonder what other rules they've bent.

So just an advert rather than actual bargain
Doubtful 'N95' claim, as pointed out here and in previous deal - still persists anyway.

  • +1

So TGA registered… and then the rep says they'll remove that in the description if TGA fine that these don't fit the bill? What about all the folks who bought this when it had that description? No refund or other corrective action?

  • +2

It's completely misleading to say "N95 compliant" and "FFP2 complaint". Either your are NIOSH-Approved for N95 or you aren't.

Let's see the test reports & the NIOSH certification then
