  • compared to protog $101.90 delivered.

they used to give a discount to whirlpool members, not sure if they still do…

    • +2

Yeah they do its 10% off

Enter the code WPDCX in the gift coupon field

For most people that many charge slots is over kill :/

This is a good cheap 'smart charger':
      http://www.amazon.com/Crosse-Technology-BC500-Battery-Charge…
      Also comes with batteries ;)

      • Wish I saw this earlier. I whimmed Jeff and he only gave me a discount for 5% off. Kind of annoyed by it, but I suppose I only missed out on another ~$4 saving.

    • Standalone chargers are $10 off already. Discounts might stack via their website.

  • For Eneloops?

  • yups for the 4 x packs of eneloops i got today :P and condition some of my old energizers

  • 8 slot is a little overkill, I prefer a 4 slot. Any recommendation on a good one? My current one is a fast energizer charger and my battery are slowly dying.

  • I wanted an 8 cell charger and maha brand. Most c9000 deals are >$60 anyways so I thought this is a great deal. Plus side is it charges the 8 x glitter eneloop pack nicely :)

  • What about these guys

bound to be cheaper shipped once you throw in some batteries i.e.

edit: maybe not - shipping comes up as $US39.71. I'm sure it wasn't that much when I bought my C9000 from them. They have free US shipping, so maybe a freight forwarder…yeah, a lot of hassle unless you're already set up.

  • 68.66 delivered. What a bargain I thought I'd get 475ish +v :) as I mentioned above perfect for dse deal

  • Great charger. Imported one from the US many years ago. 4 or 5 years I think.

  • Good to hear I was tossing between that and the c801d didn't think it was worth an extra $30+ for double the charging speed of an hr. If standard charge took 6hrs then i'd considered it.

    • I think they are a Korean brand also using the "Maha" name but a different company.

    • I have got one of this charger for over a year and it's working great! Especially you can doing discharge at one side and doing the charging at the other side. Also it come with a car charger adapter which I can charge my batteries during a long trip driving for my camera/flash.

  • I've got one of these already and have been happy with it. Doesnt get used often, but I'm still happy with it.

I bought a lifetime supply of Evolta batteries while being in Japan. They last so long it's ridiculous.

I got 20 Evoltas for like $22. You would need to recharge approx 220 times or so to get the 'same' value as I got. The thing is, you won't. You need to eventually recover and find the rechargable batteries - certain idiots in the house would just throw them out and you need to replace twice as often.

I had a laugh at the $20 battery deal. I don't know anyone who still uses rechargable AA or AAA batteries. The results are quite surprising. 600 shots on Ultimate Lithium vs. 230 on eneloops.

    • +1

Wait, you bought 20 batteries to use for the rest of your life? You're either very old or live in a cave that utilities candles?

I'd also like to know how you crunched those numbers.

      • ie. How you worked out the 220 times of recharge. 2000mAh x 220 / ( 2.5 / 0.9 ) = 158400 mAh per Evolta battery
(I'm assuming you are referring to the Alkaline Evoltas since you talk about recovering rechargeable)
Now I'm no battery expert but I find that capacity very hard to believe.

Also, sure lithium would last 600 shots vs eneloop's 230 but that's 600 shots once vs 230 x X no. of recharges. You only need to recharge the eneloops 2 times to out value the lithiums. (Enegizer E2 lithium 4 pack = $20, Eneloop 8 pack = $20).

I had 3 20 packs already, I bought 6 there. A total of 180 Batteries. Some expire 2018 others 2020. I have used approx 30 over 1 and a half years. They last so long, camera lasted entire holiday, keyboard lasted 250 days etc.

I understand that we get ripped a new one on batteries here. The 20 packs would easily be $50 here prob.

        • I hope you don't expire before the batteries :p

Any link to purchase at price you got online? I also assume Evolta Alkalines, as they also do a NiMH rechargeable

    • According to my calcs, based on 230 shots with eneloops (2000mAh) to 600 shots with ?lithium, you only need to use the eneloops 6 times to break even. Not a stretch by any means, plus better for the environment. My imedions have probably been charged 20 times already.

  • Guys who say they don't know what to use AA for obviously don't have kids. Just my kids Thomas train set consist of well over a dozen batteries. Theres plenty other toys that use AA

  • I doubt a US seller would have an ABN.

  • Anyone got any experiences with this charger? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vapex-VTE8000-Super-Smart-Fast-Ni…

It is selling out of Sydney and shipping is free of charge.

  • Hi Guys, I was looking at the MH C9000 as it says its an analyser too, is this an analyser too but with 8 slots or this is just a charger only?

  • I bought my C800S and C9000 from this guy and in both occasions they arrived promptly and the transactions went smoothly. I still like my C9000 better than C800S though, the only problem is that C9000 has only 4 slots :-(

  • Oh no wanted to pop into protog to buy a MH C9000 next week http://protog.com.au/maha-powerex-mhc9000-wizardone-aaaaa-ba…. It was $69.95 yesterday with $10 discount but today its gone back to $79.95. Even with the Ozbargain code of 5% it will not be less than $69.95. Maybe have to try Videoguys http://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/3974/maha-powerex-mh-c900…

    • It's now 69.95 again.
