Another welcome offer from Amazon AU.

  • Eligible items - any product shipped and sold by Amazon AU, Amazon US or Amazon UK

Those who signed up to a free trial for the $10 Echo Dot offer, try redeeming this code in checkout. It should also pop up on eligible listings - like this. Despite the T&C, the offer is currently working on new accounts and new prime trials (need to wait 48 hours before code applies). It may also work after you placed an order on the new account.

These terms and conditions apply to Australian Prime members (free trial memberships only – excludes Prime members on paid) who have not previously made a shopping purchase on amazon.com.au or the amazon app in previous 12 months ("Eligible Prime Members"). These Eligible Prime Members can receive $15 off their purchase when they spend more than $15 of eligible item(s) and redeem the promotional code 'WELCOME15' at checkout via the Amazon app or amazon.com.au ("offer").

Once Eligible Prime Members become eligible for the offer (for e.g. a new free trial Prime member), it may take up to 48 hours for the promotional code to be successfully applied at checkout. For the purpose of these terms and conditions "eligible items" refers to any product shipped and sold by Amazon AU, Amazon US or Amazon UK on amazon.com.au or Amazon app and otherwise excludes products sold by third party sellers (even if fulfilled by Amazon AU), digital purchases such as e-books, subscriptions such as Audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates. Amazon's standard delivery rates and policies apply to any purchase made pursuant to the offer. The promotional code can only be redeemed once by Eligible Prime Members.

    "Eligible Items" not eBay?

    • Didn't get targeted :(

  • How many accounts do you have?

  • +7

Where's the love for the current Prime members :(

    • +28

      Use code NOLOVE00

    • +6

We're getting the love on the new accounts we made instead.

    • Amazon already has your money.

    • We were given love when Jeff Bezos went into space, what more do you want?

  • +1

I got the $49 off at checkout

    • $49 off at checkout?? What??

      • +2

        I think he is getting the echo dot ($59 - $49 = $10)

    • Was this for purchasing the echo dot 3 for $10? That is 59 minus 49 discount.

  • I signed up for Prime yesterday and I don't have this. Do I just have to wait 48 hours or is it not available to me?

  • Looks like I'm eligible, now what to buy?

  • +2

Can you tell whether your account is eligible BEFORE you start the trial? Or is every account eligible after starting the trial?

    • No. I didn't think I would be, but just found that I am when I saw the Promo message on certain items. I woudn't have even known had I not seen this post.

  • Did you get this via email notification OP?

  • Signed up last week and both showed up instantly.

  • Can we sign up for free trial, place order for Echo Dot and get this $15 off and once we get order shipped cancel the trial prime membership? Anyone tried?

    • ya code applied for me after I placed echo dot order

    • I did but haven't cancelled my trial yet.

      • So you mean, use this $15 to order the Echo Dot?

        • No, echo dot cost $10 then a few days later (today) I have just placed a order for something else using this code for $15 off. You don't need a code for the echo dot.

          • @onetwothreefour: Ok, if I join now, do you know if I can use both offers at the same time instantly after signup?

            • @[Deactivated]: I don't know but others are saying no, you may have to wait to use the $15 off code, but it doesn't really matter as you'll get free delivery with prime.

  • +2

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    I will wait.

  • Is it possible to signup for second Amazon account and use it to signup for Prime? I remember they used to put such Accounts on hold temporarily and request for supporting document.

    • Yes I have done that to take advantage of the echo dot deal, I had already signed up for Amazon and a prime trial under another email address.

      • I just tried. Different email address and different credit card but name on the credit card is same as the other account. Address is also the same and I got this: "We noticed unusual payment activity on your account and need to verify ownership of the payment method used on your most recent order." They want me to attach supporting documents. Any ideas?

        • Hmmm I don't know, I used two different credit cards between my two accounts and it was nearly a year apart so maybe that's why I had no issues.

    • Yes. and I actually used the same credit card for both too. It may depend on how long you've been a Prime member with your first account?

      • Interesting, I used different credit cards but still got issues. Will try to contact support and see what they say. Cheers!

  • Oops sorry OP, look like I hijacked the comments section of your deal, I'm leaving now!

    Thanks for the deal!

Got 1L of Absolut for $45 after getting the echo 3 last week.

  • Is there a way to get Echo Dot for free?

    • +1

      Steal one.

      • haha… I meant, can I stack the $15 off on the $10 Echo dot offer to get it for free.

        • +1

I doubt it. The discount for both is applied in cart so I'd say it's one or the other.

Worth doing the echo for $10 then getting the $15 credit anyway as you are getting an echo dot and $5 credit for free.

          • @Freezies: Yeah mate, I agree it makes sense in terms of credit though I would only get Echo Dot if I get it for free as I prefer to add more Google home/nest to exiting ones.

            • @Unique1234: I had a google home set up for years and only got the dot out of curiousity to try for fun as it was cheap. Turns out that Alexa is much faster and efficient at home automation than Google. Now I use Alexa for automation and google for information. I didnt need to change anything with the smart devices as Alexa connected to all of them with ease.

        • +1

just checked for you, can’t stack both promo

    • +1

Buy the Echo for $10, then buy something worth $15 for free using this deal, sell it on Gumtree for $10. Free Echo Dot.

  • Only offer that comes up for me is $6.99/m for prime and an offer to purchase echo dot for an extra $10.

Did Amazon remove the free trial, or am I just special?

    • Have you used the free trial previously? If not, then you're just special.

      • This was for a new account

        • it's a soft patch for us abusing the system.

you'd need to use a VPN from the very start, and incognito. otherwise bezos knows who you are.

          • @xrailgun: Possibly, but I did use a new IP as well as incognito.

    • +2

Yes, the same here. New account and no trial.

      • +1

Thanks, free trial might be gone for now, just looking to confirm.

        • same issue with new account, have you found a work around to this?

  • Thanks OP. Ordered an item with $15 discount.

  • +2

Is there any "eligible " item list

    • -3

It literally says what an "eligible" item is if you care to read.

      • What are Amazon sold products like echo or anything more?

        • +1

It's written at the top of this page.

Eligible items - any product shipped and sold by Amazon AU, Amazon US or Amazon UK

          • +1

@Freezies: I don’t use Amazon , and I don’t know do they sell anything else than the Amazon products like echo .. and I did read what’s written at top, but am still unsure what items they sell directly..

            • @Ehty: Why don't you browse the site yourself? They sell everything from food to computers and more. It's literally the largest online shopping retailer on the planet.

              • @Freezies: Everything and anything including food… They deliver everything free with Amazon prime and they deliver really quickly

              • @Freezies: Ok I thought there are individual non Amazon sellers also like eBay. Anyways thanks for explaining

                • @Ehty: They have them too, but Amazon also sells and ships all kinds of things themselves. They are bigger than ebay.

                  …and no worries.

  • Just use a new email to do free trial get the $49 off

    • With the echo dot or some other purchase?

      • The Dot i suspect. The voucher gives you $49 off the purchase.
