Probably worth linking to the relevant Klarna OzBargain in the OP description. :)

      Done

16-18-18-38 @ 3600 M/Ts - great price for those speeds. Too bad it needs Klarna to purchase :(

    $320.87 without Klarna

DDR4 3600Mbps w/ 16-18-18 is very likely a b-die bin. (great for tightening timings and overclocking)

Although some memory controllers can bitch it with b-die.

You'll ideally want to know what RAM topology your motherboard has when deciding on two or four sticks.

    • Actually, I'm trying to remember if it's Crucial or Corsair that can get some of their timings a little tighter than the others with less effective die, which makes it misleading to figure out what the die might be.

Micron and Samsung are the only two real manufacturers.

Crucial primarily uses Micron, so maybe I did briefly mix up my b-die post. The particular thing I'm referring about the tighter timings on less ideal DIMMs only applies to one vendor, which makes it hard to recall, being that it's not consistent in amongst other vendors.

Also, there's no guarantee it'll be dual rank.

  • Would buy it if it didn't need Klarna.

All these buy now pay later services affect your credit rating in Australia so they aren't worth it. It's unfortunate the system is outdated and takes application with one of these services as indication that you don't have enough money, essentially punishing people who are able to find good sign up deals.

Afterpay doesn't do this from my research.

    • paypal does it too?

Proof? Why would paypal run credit checks on my account? I don't have a credit account with them…

        • paypal has a pay later system

          • @iDrownFish: The PayPal pay layer system isn’t clear on what point they will run a credit assessment however it states that it doesn’t need a credit assessment for established customers.

This is an interesting statement because it’s particularly vague and means you don’t have anything to bite at them with if they do run a CC on you.

Once again, the legal world is protecting the product owner and not the users - banks are the best example relating to writing people off who’ve used these BNPL companies.

          it was a question.

Yeah not a fan of this deal. But thanks anyway

  • The 64 GB 2 x 32 GB is at $571.92, which has been steady for a little while now (it was roughly 580 a month or two ago I believe) and is a very viable option for those looking for more RAM without the 4 DIMM potential disaster.

The price is very reasonable, I've been looking at RAMs 4-5 days a week in detail as it's the last piece I need for my full build. The 2 x 32GB will be most likely Rev-E die with a small chance of it being Rev-B.

  • I was on the verge of buying the 2 x 32 when it was on special with shopping express recently, it was the RGB variant at 580, although I hear the RGB on it doesn't respond to several applications.

  • Wouldn't these now be single rank? I know they changed the non-RGB version to single rank late last year.

how are these $240? I get 252 plus delivery

  • Received my pair today, forgot to change DRAM settings before putting it in and surprisingly the pair booted up with 4400 19-19-19 1.45v settings same as my previous viper set. Now running 4400 19-19-19 1.35v on memtest, already finished 2 pass without any problem. Very happy about the result!!
One small problem that I cannot ready SPD with either CPUZ nor Thaiphoon on my asrock b550, but in bios I can see SPD info just fine. Also the RGB pattern changes very quick and I’m having trouble figure out how to sync it with the Asrock app(may not even compatible but the app does see ram RGB available to adjust)
