Does anybody know if they will charge in any NiMH charger, such as an Energizer one?

    • +4

In theory yes, but avoid dumb/cheap chargers or 'super fast' chargers as they may shorten the life of eneloops. More info here: https://eneloop101.com/charge/

      • are the 15minutes varta chargers ok for these?

        • Again, no reason why they wouldn't work but those ultra fast chargers will likely get the Eneloop cells quite warm if not hot so could impact on their lifespan. Personally I wouldn't - given the Eneloops are low discharge you're better off having a number of them in reserve so you don't have to quick charge them.

    • Yes, they charge fine. From my testing, these Eneloop Pros charge best at 300 mAh in a charger with individual charging channels. A good one that I use is Zanflare C4 charger, they stay pretty cool. It can also charge AA Eneloop Pros at 700 mAh without heating up the batteries.

      Nitecore D4 is best charger

  • Hmm I need some rechargable AAAs but I am tempted to just wait til I'm at Ikea next.

Just be aware that the LADDA 900 that's equivalent to this is EOL, so it might not be there by the time you go.

If you just want the 750 mAh *equivalent to the regular Eneloops), then you should be fine.

  • How does this price compare to past deals?

I am after standard eneloop AAA. Hope it comes for sale too….

  • Having 2 x 4 AA is cheaper than getting 8 AA.

    ? Ladda

I owned Ladda 900mAh AAA batteries myself, which are believed to be the same as the Eneloop Pro AAA batteries.

As the Ladda 900mAh AAA are becoming more expensive compared to 2-3 years ago when they can be bought easily for about $7.99??, I started looking for alternatives.

I recently bought a pack of 24x Tenergy Premium PRO Rechargeable AAA Batteries rated at 1100mAh from Amazon US (link below). I was skeptical of the capacity myself but at $31 for 24 batteries, it was a risk I was happy to take. Turns out the capacity of these batteries are genuine, as I have tested 3 batches (they were shrinkwrapped in 6 batches of four within a box) of the batteries I received on a Zanflare C4 charger, and all 12 batteries tested have been around 1050mAh.

The 1100mAh AAA batteries seems to be out of stock at the moment, but the 1000mAh version are still availabile at about $30 (before shipping) from Amazon US.

    • Damn fine post - note blurb states good for up to 1200 cycles, also free PRIME postage if spend exceeds $49

      • It's Tenergy. They'll claim whatever they want to sell their batteries. I would like to see them back their 1200 charging cycle claim. Is that 1200 cycles when the battery reaches 0 capacity?

Get them at Ikea while you can. They are $8 again for clearance. I suspect that Ikea will stop selling it since their asking price is too high. I bought 20 packs!

  • Got free shipping to the ACT as well.

  • Is there difference in capacity compared with IKEA batteries that are currently on clearance?

If these Eneloop Pros are made in Japan, then they are the same battery.

I'm curious, why does this have so many up votes, yet this deal for 8 x AAA FOR $33.99 only got 10 up votes?

    • Not everyone has eBay plus
