  • these are coming with 2GB VRAM now

so you dont actually get 8GB you may only get 6GB

    • So VRAM reserves 2GB even when not doing graphic intensive tasks?

    • not dynamic ?

    cheap but TN panel.

  • Cheap for some light work (browser, home use etc) it would be fine, no USB-C

Agree, I personally prefer refurbished Dell business laptop with 16gb/512/i5 with 2 years warranty at cheaper price, but this item would be useful for students

    • Where do you get these from and which model? I need a laptop for MS Office and browser for home business use.

Bought it yesterday with for $522 with 17% Ebay Plus discount, 1 Year Warranty plus 1 additional year warranty from my credit card. 6 are still available

        • CPU is a step down, though, no?

          • @MatrixM: Yeah the CPU on that eBay one they linked is 10-20% worse

            • @BLAIL: For my purposes I am really conerned about 16GB memory, 1,3kg weight and long battery life. CPU i5 7th gen is ok fo me - Inever play games

              • @Lado: how did u get 17% off

                • @viper8548: There was a 17% Ebay Plus discount about a week ago

                  • @Lado: Ahh missed it :(.

Have you received the laptop? how is the physical condition? looking for something similar

                    • @viper8548: I have received it, exactly what I need, condition is good, didn't have chance to test it yet. Battery seems to be at 90% of brand new capacity as per battery report

    • Been trying to find an XPS 13 (UHD IPS screen) with 16GB RAM for a good price, but it's just impossible!
I need something very portable with a great screen to replace my dying Surface Pro, but I'm not going the Surface route again.

  • "Up to 9 hours battery life" may be good for a budget PC, but it's not good for a laptop per se.

  • Officeworks had the 256GB model of this on clearance for $197 also: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-14-…

    • Now that Was a Bargain.

    • Well damn, too bad there's no stock anywhere near me.

      • +2

There's not usually any stock near anyone on any of those would-be Officeworks bargains :(
