That's not a valid reason to neg, it's amazing value.

    • oh come on, not the gamers metoo movement! lol

      • -2

        Me too indeed!

    • +4

Lol the power was taken from me.

  • +2

should have gone for this instead of the powercolor one. aah well

    • +1

      Por que no los dos?

      • Nah, ill rather invest that into buying ravencoin

  • +1

also theres shipping fees to take into consideration, 12$ to sydney (if not using klarna)

    • +1

The original title had delivery included with the price, mods changed the title to not reflect shipping.

      • +1

these mods! what would we do without them!

      • Don't worry OP, you did good, its just a technically that helps users out. They take into account that not everyone lives far away enough for delivery and they don't need to pay for delivery if they live close enough for pick up.

Separating the real price and adding + delivery gives a clearer expectation of the price at a glance.

  • Is this card better than 2060 super?

    • +1

      Yeah

      • 3060?

        • +1

About 10% better in raster performance.

          Much worse in ray tracing.

          • +2

@Adoses: Good deal. Since 3060s are going for 700-800. Too bad, missed the boat.

    • +1

In some games, yes, but not by much.

  • +3

ignoring the mining this is a good buy, cheaper than a 5700XT pre-covid for a comperable card. im still using my 5700xt and happy with it at 1440p tbh

  • +3

    Anddd its gone

    • Asus still in stock for $599 after waiver.

      • Thanks, yes just ordered. Now I need to buy the rest of the computer

  • If both were in stock, Asus or AsRock?

    • Asrock, $70 cheaper and they look to have the same bottom of the barrel cooler.

  • is the asus better than the asrock?

    • Need to check individual card performance reviews, thermals, noise etc. No longer as simple as straight brand comparison.

I'd say they would be very similar.

  • Asus OOS as well

  • +1

Well that was quick, all OOS for the moment.

Keep an eye on Kogan links though, as this morning they were OOS but more stock came available just before I made this deal.

I had read/heard rumors that Nvidia was going to flood the market with cheap 3060/ti's to combat the release of the 6600 xt, but either they haven't released them yet or that rumor was not true. I guess we'll know in a few days.

    • +1

They won't be hot demands from miners. Only to satisfy the gamer fan base.

      • Nvidia has no control over who buys a GPU from a reseller, no matter how much thedean wishes that was the case.

    • back in stock now for both asus and asrock

      • Not on my end, try adding it to cart and checking out. It shows as in stock on the page but will have an error message in the cart.

        • they were a minute ago when i checked but now gone, might have only restocked a couple or one of each?

          • +1

@drinkin-beer: Hrmmm, I could see that being the case as it was this morning when I missed out on it only to get it a few hours later.

            They may be restocking constantly.

This shows how shit is nvidia

        Nvidia fanboys keep negging…

    Pro's

    -affordable
    -in stock
-value for money at effectively MSRP
    -8GB vram
    -DX12 Ultimate
    -great at 1080p Broadly equivalent to 5700XT / Radeon VII / 2070 Super / GTX 1080Ti
    -cool and efficient
    -HDMI 2.1

    Con's

-Pci-e 8x interface, which is likely ok on pci-e 4.0 for now but 3.0 performs a bit worse on average but potentially much worse from game to game
-Performance drop off in memory intensive games can be staggering, for example the 3060Ti with the same 8 GB of VRAM can outperform it by a much larger margin when VRAM becomes the limitation because of, at least in part, significantly higher memory bandwidth
-RT capable, but performance is abysmal

  • My Klarna wouldn't bloody work so had to pay 630 from JW Computers regular page :/

  • Called JW, they haven't received my order Kogan as yet. Ordered at 1am this morning. Don't be disappointed if you miss out on stock.

  • yeah I got it the first round the MSI 6600 XT 589 plus delievery isn't a bad price thats for sure. on Kogan

  • Anyone's card been shipped yet?

    • My orders are still 'processing with seller' with an estimated dispatch date of the 18th.

I did just get an Auspost notification to expect a package today and I'm not expecting anything apart from this GPU so there's a small chance I'll get mine this arvo.

      • I just got an Auspost notification from JW - I've got 3 different klarna orders, hopefully all packages arrive

        • What time did you order? Does it show as shipped on Kogan?

My package was for a phone case I ordered on Aliexpress 2 months ago and forgot about it. Kogan says 18th estimated shipping date.

          • @studentl0an: 2 minutes ago 2 out 3 orders updated as shipped..
Asus Dual Radeon RX 6600 XT O8G Graphics Card
Asus TUF Gaming B550M PLUS AM4 Micro-ATX Motherboard

            CPU hasn't been updated.

I ordered GPU at Thu, Aug 12, 2:17 PM
CPU at Thu, Aug 12, 2:48 PM
Mboard at Thu, Aug 12, 8:11 PM

            • @kusama: Thanks, I'm surprised mine haven't shipped yet as I ordered just before I posted this deal. I went for Asrock and not Asus though.

B550M supports AMD smart access memory yeah? I wonder if the 6600xt will get any extra FPS boost as it has shown with the other 6xxx series cards. I haven't seen any comparisons online yet, would be interested to know though. I'm stuck with PCIE 3.0 and Intel CPU at the moment. If 6600xt gets a few extra frames with AMD SAM, I might consider upgrading from my 2013 H87 motherboard and 4770K.

              • +1

@studentl0an: It could be stock, or just a huge backlog of orders/bad backend.

Looks like it does, hope I bought a good board, I know there's newer gen boards but this one looked good for my needs.
I haven't kept up with the technology so there's a lot of new stuff I'm learning, this GPU setup may even be overkill for the light games I plan to play

  • I got shipping notification last night and tracking is showing it's on the way.

The package should be delivered early next week with a small chance of Friday this week.

  • Same mine got shipped last night.
