      • +14

But if you buy a tighter shirt the length would be shorter too right?

That would add complexity to the matter at hand.

More Alibaba importer junk….. We're now OzAdvertising….. Something's got to be done about SpAmazon

    • +9

      Rep is from Guangdong.

So not even Alibaba -> Seller -> Amazon Warehouse.

This is direct China factory -> Amazon Warehouse.

      • +3

        Nice detective work there 99!

    • +8

I put a suggestion forward to ban Amazon associated posts for new accounts. Got ignored. Now I just Neg as many of these rip off deals as I can.

      • I've been finding the exact same item on Alibaba, AliExpress, then posting detailed comments with expenses these importers invite and the likely profits they make. Take this comment for example. But it's tiring, I'm at Uni and working part time

        • +1

I've been doing the same for a while. But I spend like 45 seconds googling, usually find something close enough to neg.

Nobody wants these junk posts, but it fills the front page so maybe mods want quantity over quality as the more the scroll, the more your advertised to?

          • @Nalar:

Nobody wants these junk posts, but it fills the front page so maybe mods want quantity over quality as the more the scroll, the more your advertised to?

Yeah I think that's a real reason. @scotty has mentioned a few times that the OzBargain revenue has dropped, this resulted in many people posting they'll turn ad's on and some people saying 'what about just clicking ad's' scotty replied for them not to do this as it'll reduce the revenue per ad.

            • +1

@Wystri Warrick: That would be incorrect. First of all, these deals don't even get into the front page due to lack of votes, and you can see from the votes page who exactly voted for them. The store "HOME-MART AU" is still allowed on OzBargain because people are still voting for those deals so they don't get automatically banned.

Secondly, I don't want people to click on ads not because of reduction in revenue, but it's just not fair for the advertisers — whom I have no idea who they are as 100% of our ads are programmatic. If you don't want display ads, you are more than welcome to use an adblocker or turn off ads in the user settings.

We also don't allow overseas posters to post Amazon AU deals, except some white listed stores that Amazon AU promised us are well known brands. So we ended up white-listing quite a few over the last 2 years. However we realised that most of those stores are crap as well so I have to go back to Amazon this year (~2 months ago) explaining to them why we will no longer white listing those overseas 3rd party sellers. Stores that were previously white-listed remain so, and we white-listed HOME-MART AU in August last year.

              • @scotty: @scotty are there people who just up vote things in their feed? I see some of these aliexpress junk deals with 3/4 votes when they are clearly not good deals. I wonder if some users will just up vote everything they click on or maybe just everything in a row?

Also how do you feel about online re-branding/reselling alibaba junk groups pushing people to use Ozb as a free marketing platform?

                Eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRwDcWwxyHQ&t=123s

                • @Nalar: As I've said, you can check the votes page of this deal, and look at their vote history & evaluate yourself.

We have also implemented a check in the backend to flag certain users who have voted excessively, that their votes won't be counted when we calculate automated performance ban threshold.

Also how do you feel about online re-branding/reselling alibaba junk groups

They get voted down pretty quickly. At the same I do not think it is the case here. HOME-MART is likely a brand in China that have stores on multiple marketplaces such as Alibaba and Amazon. However the Amazon price can be higher, as

                  • Alibaba is a wholeseller marketplace
                  • Amazon charges a lot more due to higher margin & local logistics.

PainToad is right that this is China factory directly to Amazon warehouse in AU. This is very different from reselling products sourced from Alibaba.

              • @scotty: Hi scotty, thanks for the reply.

In regards to not allowing overseas posters to post Amazon AU deals, the op is a rep located in Guangdong, so I'm guessing the post is illegal?

                • +1

@Wystri Warrick: As I have stated in the comment, HOME-MART was white-listed last year (as per request from Amazon AU). We have now stopped white-listing 3rd party sellers on Amazon to allow overseas posting, but those who have already been white-listed stayed on. The minimum feedback requirement for Amazon 3rd party has also increased from 10 to 30, and to 50 in November.

Really? You wear a business shirt untucked?

      • I have my own business, I can wear what I like, but I see your point.

      • +1

Really? You wear a business shirt untucked?

Thankfully the traditional business look is dying. Least up here in Brissy CBD. Unless you work in Sales, smart casual is the new business attire.

Nice pear of jeans, polo and shoes. Done.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOFSbPAkzWQ

        • Polos look better tucked in for work settings.

        • +1

You don’t need a full suit and tie, what’s wrong with a proper shirt and trousers? Polo and jeans just look sloppy. I work in Brisbane CBD as well.

  • +4

Came here for the comments, not disappointed

  • Looking at the sellers other deals they look like a good go to if you're planning a bank robbery… role play session

  • +2

"no harm to the human body"

I can just see it now… people seeing these weird bulges through your suit pants and wondering what TF kind of wart-like growths are growing on your leg.

Good luck to anyone wearing these and needs to use the bathroom quickly!

    • 2's will never be the same again.

    • lol idk about these but girl suspenders are put on before underwear at work. Opposite to what th model shows

      • Not even close to being the same thing…

H HOME-MART Men Shirt Stay stay ON during sex !

  • +7

I might be the only one here who's ever used them. The ones I used go down to the socks. Loved it. I work in an office, but there's a bit of manual work involved. IT, so, you know… crawling under desks and such. These things were a godsend.

Then I got fat. Shirts stay firmly tucked in now.

  • 007 style.

  • +2

Just tuck your shirt into your jocks

  • +2

Why so much hate for shirt stays? I used them when I went into the office and thought they were best things ever.

They work so well and you can’t see them through your pants

  • +1

Whatever happened to just tucking your shirt into your jocks?

    • Last button doesn't go around the….

  • Just do a John Major and tuck your shirt into your underwear.

  • No deal unless you can strap on thigh holsters Lara Croft style.

  • Bitterly disappointed in the lack of Frank-N-Furter jokes.

    • +1

      See Toshjammi above.

      • +1

Gah! I just did a Ctrl-F for 'frank'. Let this remain as a monument to my carelessness.

  • +3

Do these go inside or outside?

  • Even women wear shirts too. :)

  • I'm just here for the comments… and it doesn't disappoint lol

  • Selection of high-quality and environmentally friendly material, no harm to the human body.

  • These can also be turned upside down to keep your socks up

  • +2

what a time to be alive

  • Not sure about the ones that go around your thighs. Doesn't see comfortable.

    I recommend these: https://www.amazon.com.au/Shirt-Suspender-Garter-Non-Slip-Ho…

Don't knock it till you try it. A nicely tucked shirt feels awesome. It's not for everyone, but if you work in an office and you move a lot, these are absolutely worth $11. They'll last about 2 years… until one inadvertently disappears in the washing machine.
